I think it's mostly females that play Dragon Age and Mass Effect, tbh. The general online fandom is mostly women at least.

Thats weird since on ps3 ivve ran into 200 men and 3 women online mp
Most of us don't reveal our gender in multiplayer for obvious reasons. That, or we stay away entirely. It's not exactly a friendly environment.

Not a good ice breaker to roll with man, but I suppose there have been worse attempts to communicate with the female players. ![]()

Why do you find it so unbelievable that women play Bioware games, and may possibly even be in the majority?
I speculate that the reason why a lot of female gamers play Bioware games compard to, let's say, Activision games, is that the community here is much more mature than other popular gaming communities(Don't get me wrong, it is still horribly immature, but still a huge improvement over other communities). When a woman posts a post here nobody goes like "ZOMG A WOMEN BEWS OR GTFO AR U UGLY IRL SOO U PLYZ VIDEO GAMZZ?", whereas a lot of other gaming communities do that, unfortunately.

Yes.
I have been gaming since I was roughly 5 or 6 years old, starting out on my Dad's Atari 2600 and Intellivision. Really enjoy the pastime and BioWare produces some of my favorite RPGs.
There are plenty of women who play MP, but often times they do not identify themselves as women because they fear verbal abuse and harassment. So, an MP player who is not using a mic could very well be a woman just as it could be a man. It's not like we necessarily feel a need to identify ourselves with screen names like "GamerChick" or whatnot anymore than men should identify with "GamerDude" (example: if you ran across "DragonRacer" in your lobby, would you immediately assume I'm male or female?)
I have encountered a lot of female gamers just by using my mic in MP and they hear that I'm a woman, so that seems to sometimes coax them out to join me on the mic for some fun and laughs. I was actually pleasantly surprised at how many there are in ME3MP... don't know why I figured long ago that I was such a special snowflake as to be the "only girl in a boy's world", but it was pretty cool finding sisters out there. ![]()

Mostly i dont do topics, because a lot of Young boys (i think they are Young according to the way they talk) always seems condescending. And some years back i played a lot of CS, and I never told i was a woman, because it was always like: Hey she is a girl, i cant have her shooting me... so they always teamed up to "take" the girl down :-)
What i think is funny, is that i hate to play male, cause i cant relate to my character - but a lot of Guys play female characters - why is that?

Yes they do and it wouldn't be surprising to me to find that more women play this game than men actually do.

It's always so awkward when you realise you discuss with unicorns and thought they were something else to start with. How silly!
