Do females/women/girls play The Witcher ?
This would be a better question
Yes, they do.
They also play COD. And many other games.

All of the above. Might as well stay, there's plenty of room and one of us went to get drinks.
Of course not, don't be ridiculous!
There's no such thing as females, those are just an urban legend!
There are urban females?
Do women drink? Never was quite sure about that one.
In the UK they do.
Ja
Do women drink? Never was quite sure about that one.

Well my female cat lacks all interest.
My male cat likes to sit in front of the screen and whenever Dorian appears, he puts his paw up on the screen gently. Not sure if my cat is gay or is just careful cause I'll swat him if he claws my LCD screen.
Female dog has no interest but male dog also has zero interest. So dogs are just out completely.
I am a female and have played all the Dragon Age and Mass Effect games. I am also an OLD female who likes to play games. I am 63 years old, and finished Dark Souls 2 prior to this. So yes, females do play games.
Age must bring patience as well as wisdom. I'm 36 and ragequit the first Dark Souls after getting it for free from Xbox Live, haven't even bought the sequel.
This message brought to you by the letter "I" for "Irrelevant to the OP as I am a guy. Just an impatient one prone to throwing controllers."

I earned the nickname "The Drunk Turian Sentinel" in ME3MP for a reason. ![]()
The use of the word "females" instead of "women" or "girls" is highly unnerving.
Hey, knock that off. OP could be Ferengi, don't oppress his culture.
But yes, yes it is... Although I did once get yelled at on the old BSN for using "girls", when the poster thought I should have used "women". Can't please all the people all the time, as it turns out.
Do i look like a crackhead
Yep
I'm female and I've been playing computer games since the commodor 64 came out LOL. Before we were married, my husband and I played Baldur's Gate 2 and Vampire:The Masquerade Redemption (where we initially met). We used to live in separate countries and that was our way to spend time together.
So short answer: yes, of course we do.
Edit:
Women play roughly the as much as men.
Some games are biased to one gender, but RPGs have a big female audience.

Whats so great about witcher
Real choice and consequence, grounded and mature storytelling with a deep backstory based on the books.
Consistent and detailed art design, armor, weapons and cities inspired by real eastern europe middle-age design.
Combat is its biggest weakness in both games, and it has a preset character which some may not like either.
What i think is funny, is that i hate to play male, cause i cant relate to my character - but a lot of Guys play female characters - why is that?
I'm a men, and I often play as a women, and lesbian if I have the chance. Just to mix things up.
Plus in third person games I like characters that are interesting to look at.

Generally, Geralt can lure almost all women into his bed, haystack, whatever suits.....this is why the game is considered mostly "man-only".
On the other hand, it has very deep and well-written story, great character and stunning visuals (speaking of the games).
................and it has a preset character which some may not like either...........................
And that's the deal breaker for me. Tried the game. Could not bring myself to give a **** about Geralt after the first five hours or so and never went back to it. Shame, really, because I think the setting has potential.

Yeah, you have to get over the fact that Witcher isn't YOUR story as much as Geralt's story but it's a really gritty, realistically gloomy world with some crazy choices and morally ambiguous outcomes.
I dislike the combat though >_<

My best friend (also a woman) and I met playing video games (ME3 MP to be precise) and we've both been gaming since we were 3.

I know that it's based on existing source material, but if they ever create a game where you can choose your PC (or, even better, create your PC), I'd give it another go. Hell, I might even give it another go if it were a different PC. Geralt is super bland to me. It's like he was designed by a committee of 18 year old boys tasked with creating a 'badass' looking character. Ugh.

If the game is not your thing then you might not be aware of this, but in the third one... he has a beard.
AND a scar!

Don't like him either added to that the button mashing and it's really not for me.

I met my husband at a Counter Strike tournament. Gaming can bring people together, it's not just about solitary basement dwelling....

Well, CD Projekt's next game hopefully will allow us a custom PC - I'm so stoked for it...whenever the hell we end up getting it >.>

Also a daughter. Who's playable for at least part of the game. And can manipulate time (what's the deal with time magic all of a sudden?).
