Origins:Leliana, Wynne, and Shale.
Awakening:Sigrun, Oghern, and Anders.
Dragon Age 2: Isabella, Merrill(Bethany), and Varric.
Inquisition: Cole, Vivienne, and Cassandra.

I really like Varric, but he lost what he had in Dragon Age 2. I think it's because he sees the inquisitor as more of a boss than friend, so he's probably keeping that professional manner. He's still my forever bro!

Alistair and Varric are one tier lower than those two, just because they were the best buds of Warden and Hawke respectively.

This legit made me guffaw. My favorite thread in the BSN so far was actually the "which Dragon Age girl do you think would look best in yoga pants" one. Luv you creepy nerds.

Varric now oozes good guy, it's sickening. I'd rather have Vivienne in my party.

He's nowhere near as funny as he was in DA2. Very few funny comments. The only time he made me laugh was when he was running away from Cassandra lol.
Keep in mind tho, I haven't finished so he could surprise me. But I doubt it

Why was Loghain not on this list? Not that I really like him much.

Depends whether you mean favorate because you like the character (Morrigan or voice actor), or becasue you always have them becase you need a tank (Aveline) or DPS (sera) - I am palying a champion at the moment or it would have been Cass or Black. Allmost tempted to pick Viv because I find her dialog so amusing.

i picked just about half the list xD  although i loved almost all the companions, i narrowed it down a bit to the following:

 

DAO: alistair, wynne, shale (thanks to asunder), oghren, leliana, morrigan, zevran

DA2: basically everyone but sebastian and the twins (no offence to the twins, i just don't think you get to spend THAT much time with them)

DAI: dorian, solas, iron bull (varric too)

 

the companions generally take some time to grow on me and as i get to know them, but once they do, i tend to love them to pieces.  i'm sure my DAI list will grow with time.

I also loved Morrigan, Velanna, Varric, Isabela and Cassandra.

I'm sort of surprised Varric is so far behind Dorian and Alistair. It's really a two man race at the moment.
