Depends whether you mean favorate because you like the character (Morrigan or voice actor), or becasue you always have them becase you need a tank (Aveline) or DPS (sera) - I am palying a champion at the moment or it would have been Cass or Black. Allmost tempted to pick Viv because I find her dialog so amusing.

Missing Loghain. I voted Morrigan though.
My favorites are Morrigan, Loghain, Sten, Cassandra, Solas, and Varric.
I voted Alistair, Shale, Aveline, Varric, Sigrun and Dorian and OH MAKER I FORGOT CASS. Nobody tell her where I am. One more disgusted noise and I'm done for.

wow, such a huge drop from anders to vivienne and velanna. velanna doesn't surprise me, but vivienne does. i may not agree with her views most of the time, but i don't think she's a bad character. with the amount of love i've seen for fenris on deviantart, i'm also surprised that he isn't higher on the list.

Totally agree about Vivienne. I'm a huge fan of Anders, but people who dislike him have a very understandable reason for doing so, even if I disagree with it. Velanna is basically a serial killer, so her rating is equally justified. The dislike for Vivienne for the most part boils down to "I don't agree with her politically" and "she's not very nice to me!" which makes her score a bit childish to me. As far as Fenris, he's in eighth place in the favorite poll and ninth place in the least favorite poll. It's not that he's unpopular, it's just that's he's the most divisive, apparently.

Huh. Surprised Merrill is ranking below Oghren and Justice. I knew she had her detractors but I didn't realize she was that unpopular.
As a note, all three of them were on my list for the favorites vote.

I'm surprised to see that Leliana is so low on the list. I always thought she was a fairly popular character. Maybe Inquisition has something to do with it, she's become so cold and bitter in that game. That's not the Leliana I loved in Origins.
Also surprised to see Zevran pretty high in the list. I always loved him, but everyone seemed to hate him. His banter was the funniest in all the games.
King Dorian is in rightful place though, number one where he belongs.
I really like Zevran, Alistair, Morrigan, Fenris, Solas and Dorian
I also like Sigrun, Nathaniel, Cole and Shale.
To keep things clearer and stronger, I just gave the votes to my first ones.
Dorian is 1st place even with the negative votes
Picking two per game, because I can't pick just one.
Origins: Alistair and Loghain. Loghain is such an interesting, complex character. Alistair is my closest friend and brother-in-arms.
Awakenings: Nathaniel, because a human noble the interactions with him are great. And he has the most interesting arc, in my opinion. Sigrun would be second.
DA2: Varric is so far and away the best. In fact he's my #1 character in the whole series, for reasons I don't think I need to explain. Carver was actually my second favorite. Despite his abrasive attitude, he felt realistic, and I like a character who doesn't constantly agree with me and think I'm great. And when he joins the Wardens and finally sees himself as an equal, it completes a great character arc. I liked that he finally found his place in the world.
Inquisition: Cassandra is such a layered character. I find her weakness for "smutty literature" adorable, the strength of her convictions, and her idealism of what the Chantry should be. She's probably my second favorite character in the series. Picking Varric again feels like cheating, so I'll say my second is Solas. My Inquisitor disagreed with him a lot, but I always appreciate his perspective on things. Also:
