I thought the Dwarven ruins were pretty neat. And we got the adorable Scout Harding.

Thats laughable. We got more tevinter in the game than we got Dwarves.
I hope new DLC will feature dwarven content
i actually liked the dwarven stuff quite a bit from DAO. The elf stuff i can leave behind tbh. it's boring to me.
it would be cool if we had a game set underground and you were exploring deep roads to find lost thaigs or possibly other dwarven cities that managed to survive somehow. or even a sleeping archdemon/dragon.
Yeah both Dwarves and Qunari got screwed content wise and while I love playing as both they both need alot more content because in my opinion Humans made the most sense storywise until DAI went all Elf in the Story.I want some amazing Dlc that adds alot of story content for both the Dwarves and Qunari plus some awesome Weapon/Armor Schematics for both would be great.

Qunari were always supposed to be strange exots though

That maybe true but the lack of customization for Qunari is laughable the horn/hair selections were pathetic and there are absolutely no unique Armor Variants for them either and plz dont even mention the Vitars that was a cool idea but I never use them.
Now if we had The Arishocks"DA2"/Iron Bulls Horns as option's maybe then we could talk but as of now the Qunari just feels like it was added as a filler race.
Even though I don't like playing as a dwarf, I like visiting dwarf cities (not darkspawn-infested ruins) and seeing their pretty architecture. For some reason, before release I thought we were going to visit Kal-Sharok. Maybe that was just a forum rumor.
I don't think we had our first potential encounter with Kal-Sharok in the franchise for no reason.
