Clarel kills Jana if you ask Jana to join the wardens? On most of my playthroughs I try to save as many wardens as possible, but for some reason it annoyed me to the point where i just wanted to kill all of them.
Did anyone else get legitimately angry when

I told her not to join wardens.
She joined Inquisition as agent, if I recalled correctly.

Instead, Clarel's like "mwa ha ha" until she realizes she's been tricked and now all of a sudden is a good guy again.
The whole thing makes little sense.
TLDR: I'm not upset about Jana because the whole plot is ridiculous.

I found it impresive that she got chomped by a Dragon and spit out of his mouth like four stories up and was fine to crawl and cast a spell...
Yeah, that actually made me feel a pang of regret that I could not recruit her for the Inquisition. "Uhm, Dorian? Your necromancer spec kind of suck, and the Inquisition has decided to move in a different direction...."

How did you get Jana to join the Inq? I wasn't given the option

You have to have Solas in the party.
I believe for me there was another way too, but not sure if it was because I played an elf too, or if I had all the conversation perks.

I know some are tied to race. I know the scout Ritts in the Himterlands will only join if you bring Varric or are a Dwarf yourself.

No, dialogue perks will work for anyone. They also work on Jana. I always get all my dialogue perks first for a reason.

(What really gets me angry at points is the party not holding position )

Who is Jana? I missed something here...
(What really gets me angry at points is the party not holding position )
Girl in Crestwood who sees the wardens doing good and wants to join them. Either she joins them and dies, or you talk her into joining the Inquisition instead. She lives and you get a new agent. Everyone's happy. Except Humpback Whale 85.

Actually, now that I really really think about it, the thing that makes me most upset is the missed opportunities of Clarel's character. She could have been a legitimate anti-hero. Instead, she's kind of a mustache-twirling villain until her character makes a 180 and (of course) dies.
Is she? I found the idea of getting rid of the remaining archdemons rather compelling, and given that the Wardens *are* sworn to sacrifice their lives for fighting the Blights, even the demon summoning made sense. Erimond did hold an offer they couldn't refuse to at least consider seriously.

Yes, because blood magic and dealing with demons always works out so well!

Clarel isnt the villain though, she's just set up into thinking what she's doing is right to save the wardens

Yep I felt like a complete D-bag. On my next replay I told her not to join the wardens. How the bleep was I supposed to know?

What made me even angrier was when all it took to shake Clarel was the thought that Corypheus was still alive..
You think that before killing a sh*t load of Wardens, you'd check first if that was necessary.
She start killing Wardens, then you show up and say "Yo, are you sure it's not Corypheus making the Calling"
then she goes "Wait really? I guess I should have checked that first before summoning a few hundred demons"
then "So you didn't check? if Stroud knows about Corypheus, then you would know about it too given that you're Warden Commander"
then she goes "ok fine, I won't kill my 200th Warden because we have to check these accusations"
