its a tie between blackwall and viviene for me...  Both companions just kind of felt tacked on, i know viviene has all this courtly intrigue background crap goin on, but you just basically aske her about the circle and thats it, she doesnt even do anything unique at the ball in halamshiral.  Blackwall, well hes just quiet in general... so i overlooked him quite a bit actually.  Probably gonna use him on my non warrior inquisitor nightmare run for my tank though....

Yeah, I have not really warmed up to this protagonist. Not sure why.

Well, not yet, at any rate.

Vivienne pretty easily in terms of plain likability. But I try not to judge characters by how much I like them, but rather by how interesting they are, how much depth their character has. Unfortunately Vivienne also seems to be the loser there. Though Blackwall was a contender until his twist.

I don't think any of them are particularly bad characters. I'm only choosing the least good.

Dorian - No charm at all, no funny dialogue, plotline just a basic gay angst plotline. Not very good looking. I think his only fans are yaoi fans.

I cannot believe Blackwall got so many votes. I like him though even if he seems an ordinary warrior to you all. He is a bit boring but that makes him a classical NPC.
I personally as a creator of this topic for got to write down who I like least.
IT IS:
Sera.
I mean, she is supposed to be original and funny but it did not work for me. She is retarded and annoying in my view. She is just retarded. It is not the fact that I do not like little people, I do like little people but not idiots. She is an absolute idiot for me. But fans love her nonetheless.

Sera. After the first round, she is thereby doomed to the farthest dark corner. I find the character childish and shallow.

Vivienne. Just seems weird to have such a poncy Circle Mage out doing 'dirty work'.

Although her bite-me-fanboy personality, while grating, is....interesting.

I have to say Blackwall. Although I don't really dislike him, I find his character quite boring. I romanced him in one of my pts and I am irritated that he

I dunno. I don't think for me it is a companion. For me I think it is The Lord Seeker. His teeth just bug me and that is just for starters. I can give more compelling reasons if you wish. Also Cory could of been scarier and more of a foe. Magneto and Darth Vader he is not. Shoot Mojo Jojo was a better villain than him. At least they could of done is give him a Red Lyrium mask to go with the hood.

Loved the game overall but the entire cast is a mixed bag for me.

Loved the advisors and Cassandra. Wish the advisors were party members.

Nice to see Varric. Sera grew on me.

Vivienne I would have preferred as an NPC.

Neutral on Solas, Iron Bull, Blackwall, or Cole.

Dorian wasn't my cup of tea.

Probably a toss up between Dorian and Cole, though I hard a hard time filling out a party I was very excited by - as opposed to DAO and DA2 where I wished for additional party slots as I wanted to bring too many along.

I didn't really like Justice either. I'm not big on spirits as party members.

I think his VA did a great job with the material but it's just a personal bias. I just don't really care what happens to the spirit characters. I actually care more about not killing fennecs than I do Cole.

Greeting. I am curious who you like least. People usually ask who you like best but I decided to turn the question to the opposite.
When I say LEAST FAVOURITE I do not mean that you hate this NPC or that you wish to remove him/her from the game.
And one more thing: enemies do not count, so you cannot say Calpernia for example. Choose from one your companiuons, please.

Probably Vivienne for me or Blackwall. I like taking Vivienne out on missions to hear her banter with the other characters, but as a person, there's something about her that just grates on me. I think maybe it's her superiority complex...maybe? I mean, Solas also has a superiority complex, but at least he sometimes acknowledges that he -might- be wrong. Admittedly, I'm biased on Solas, though, because I did his romance, which added so much more to the character for me. I think I might like Blackwall better if I did his romance, too, because I would learn more about him and probably get a better feel for his personality, but his whole questline near the end of the game soured me on that idea a bit; I just wanted there to be an option for my inquisitor to yell, "I don't need your angst, Blackwall!"

What's wrong with you people? lol :P

Seems like most people are just picking the characters that could be more confrontational or blindside you. Those are the best characters. Seriously, the story would be plain boring without them.

SPOILERS I guess.

(seriously)

(ok, hope not too many spoiler tags >< )

OK!

I'm going to try to rank all the Inner Circle from fav to least fav.

Favorites after first PT, having completed all their personal quests, but only having romanced Josephine:

1-6: LOVE

1. Morrigan: Bar none the best character in the series. The Warden seriously needs to be there for dlc at least. She's got a lot of story left in her.

2. Leliana: To me, had the best transitional character arc, game's a reminder how great these characters are. (M&L)

3. Sera: Most realistic personality, easiest to like personally. Best presentation. She just asks you accept her, not try to change her. I love her personal code, even when I don't agree with her. She takes everything case by case until she feels threatened, then she's self aware and honest about it. She's a harsh mirror. She's not proper or deceitful or false in any way. No plastic here. And she'll flat out tell you where she's coming from. Overcoming self hatred, shame is a major theme, how she was raised, as most apparently haven't really got to know her character yet. She's one of the most complex characters in the game.

4. Blackwall:

Spoiler
And that is great writing.

5. Solas: Here's a character that

Spoiler
and he's so imminently reasonable about it all.

6. Cole:

Spoiler
depending on the eyes of the beholder.

7-9: LIKE

7. Vivienne: I like that her personal standard is noble, next to surety, guile, and ambition. I like her falability. And she's got top notch delivery.

8. Cullen: His addiction makes him interesting, so beaucoup points there. But his past is pretty well whitewashed and pasted over. So heavy negative there.

9. Josephine. Charm, pure and simple. I love the

Spoiler
It's missing a lot otherwise though. That should've been the first main romance scene, not the last.

10-13: AMBIVALENT

10. Cassandra: I think she's likable, extremely reasonable, and leans on false bravado like a crutch at every available moment. I like her ok, I think her voice is excellent, but I never see much depth or development. I imagine her romance will help her case by cracking open her shell a little more. But I haven't played it yet.

11. Dorian: I think he has three main notes.

Spoiler
O.o

12. Varric: I honestly felt he was mostly there to represent DA2, and aside from that, I got very little out of it. I'd've much preferred Hawke or the Hawke sibling as potential companions, or Charade, with a lot more character cameos. His

Spoiler
and it came across as mostly sad to me.

13. The Iron Bull: Indifferent. I wish he'd have betrayed me when I

Spoiler
I wish he'd have made me found out about his Qunari agency. I wish he had some intensity to him, and some intrigue. To me, he turned out probably the least interesting companion so far in a BioWare game, because I see him as this big jocular ball of wasted potential. I personally like him, and he's not offensive like Fenris, but he's not even skin deep. Jacob has him beat by a mile.

Answer to OP: The Iron Bull, unfortunately. I like him ok though.

Well I do not know now... But seems that Blackwall and Vivienne are the least liked. I kind of like the posh pseudoaritstocratic sometimes annoying behavior of the black orlaisian lady :) I especially enjoyed the fact she says that she would not sleep with you because such an arrangement would not be in her best onterest. It was interesting including the tone of her voice, polite and neutral at first but if ypou get to know her - FAKE. Her voice is so FAKE. :) I like the way they made it altough in real life I dislike such people. D

Magister Erimond easily.

"MUAHAHAHAHA - I AM SO EVIILLL! Pretend I didn't just say that Clarel, while I uses suspect magics to mindrape you and the rest of the Grey Wardens! MUAHAHAHAHAHA!!"

Could have least made him affable.

****, just look at Alexius. That's a minor character that is so charismatic that I want him to return even though he was working for the guy that was trying to siege Heaven.

Alexius was affable in a Bond-esque villain sort of way. His personal story with Felix having the taint made him that much more endearing. I could definitely see him as an anti-villain helping the hero along when it suits him if a game is set in Tevinter.

IMO he and time travel were the Mage sides' saving grace. Different strokes.
