Sera stupidity is not endearing and neither is her toilet humour

I like all of them to varying degrees except Sera and Vivienne. Sera is an immature brat while I hate everything Vivienne stands for.

I'm not a fan of Blackwall or Sera but Vivienne takes the cake. I just can't stand her and I'm definitely not going to recruit her ever again. Everything about her makes me want to tear my hair out.

Oh man, I know Vivi was an ice ******, but that's kinda what I love about her.  Actually, I really liked all the companions, though like many of you, I was a teensy bit bored by Blackwall.  His storyline was kinda like "meh" for me.  I mean, he killed a family for money and position, and that was crappy and horrible, but I think he would've been more interesting as a character if he'd either a) actually done some for real atoning for his sins by, you know, showing up at the nearest warden outpost and actually going through with the joining, because then at least we could point to his true remorse and attempts to be a better person as a reason for saving him and not just be like "The game seems to want me to save you, So I'm gonna save you."  Or b ) if he turned out to be mostly remorseless for his actual crimes and have some evil core or something, and we could either keep him to try and figure him out/rehabilitate him/ whatever, or justify our reasons for killing him/sending him away.  As it was, I was kinda like, "Okay, so you're a horrible human being.  You did something bad, you hid from it, and now you feel bad?  Okay.  Anything else?  No?  Alrighty then, back to the stables with you ser."

Making him a Tranquil, and watching him pees his pants is totally worth it.

Indeed, I don't care if it pisses off some mages. The ****** does not deserve death or anything else because that's what he wants, tranquilly however scares the **** out of him and it's just worth seeing him lose it. After what he did and what he cost me in the Fade, I feel nothing for the ******. Don't think I've hated a Bioware character this much since Howe.

Death is too easy, and too good for that worthless piece of ****, and he ain't so smug anymore when I deny him death. There will be no serving his master in the Fade, no next world for him. If Fenris says some mages deserve to be put through the Rite of Tranquility, it's people like Erimond that deserve it. It takes manipulating the Wardens alone for me to hate him that much, but I hate him even more after what he cost me in the Fade.

Honestly if your not a mage and you don't come down hard on Erimond, you aren't a good mage. Seeing how he specifically targeted other mages to make them puppets and took glee in robbing them of their free will and selves, I find it befitting that he we can, in his own words, "Make him lose himself."

I think my real problem with Sera was she didn't like elves. Everything elven she was against. Only character in the series I think that thought that way.

Cole, because I'm just 'meh' about him. Characters I "love" or characters I "hate" are great, imo, but the ones I just don't care about are my least favourite.

For you personally? And not in the behest of battling Darkspawn? Oh don't make me put you through the Rite of Tranquility. :P

Sera probably, mainly because of how genuinely cruel she is when trying to be funny. She makes me think of school bullies that try to impress everyone and end up looking like idiots but still insulting the person or group they were talking to. Also her whole elf hatred thing, its like if a black guy was raised by white parents so suddenly disliked all of his fellow blacks and their history.

Least favourite would be Blackwall at this point. I've tried to talk to him a few times, but there's nothing really to him that interests me. He seems like a good guy, doing what he does, but then again; so are the masons at Skyhold. I haven't yet done the Warden/Hawke quest, so I'll be taking him along to see what he has to say there.

I'm also quite disappointed that Sera has been given such a juvenile attitude, because the problems she faces are interesting, and she explores the world from a unique perspective. It seems to me that much of Sera's story is devalued by her being unable to keep her fart jokes to herself.

Vivienne is a difficult case, because while she is potentially an interesting character, I think that cutting her off from the court has made her somewhat anonymous. She is still an amusing and solid advocate for her view on politics and mages, but it all seems rather ineffectual. Worse for a person in her position: she seems powerless. I had expected at least a few War Council missions related to her, and especially a much more profound presence at the Royal Ball. She doesn't even bring her own outfit! She seems to run foul of the old 'too many captains on a ship' problem, which has made her role either at court or in the Inquisition somewhat vague.

I find that a really difficult question, I don't hate any of the companions, actually I like them all.

At first I thought it would be Vivienne, my elf didn't have much approval and the few cutscenes I got left me thinking what an arrogant ****** she was, but then she was fussing over my second Inky's wellbeing after Haven, told me about her love to the duke and it started to feel like she meant it when she called Inky 'my dear'. So she managed to redeem herself and I love to take her along now.

If I really had to pick my least favourite one, I think I would say Sera. While I still think she's cute and fun - the pranks were great and the cookies scene was adorable - the way she treats my Dalish for her religion does annoy me.

None actually. All of them are very good. The characters are basically the best part of the game. Sera irks people immediately because she doesn't want to think deeply or even think at all but once you know her style, you get to see her view point (over extreme as it was) as sometimes over thinking too much isn't very helpful.

Cassandra is a great character. In my first play though, she pissed me off with the intro but over time she showed that she was always fighting for what she though was right and the forces against her including her own seekers would have pushed anyone to become as hard as steel. The silly thing with varric's novels showed that she wasn't all steel and made her more real.

Solas was a surprise at the end. Didn't expect that but he did play the sombre, knowledgeable elf very well. The others were all very good in their own ways. Iron bull's beating the fear out of himself was funny and exactly fit him while cole's wierd sayings start to make sense once you get used to it and he doesn't mind breaking the 4th wall. He references Schrodinger's cat in one part IIRC.

The least interesting was blackwall and Vivienne. Blackwall's secret was actually pretty obvious and vivienne was a overly standard character. The only thing that made her better was her last personal quest. Seriously they need to add more flavor in the weaker characters. Blackwall's wooden griffon was a nice though but that needed to be played up more.

Iron Bull.. he isn't badly written per se. I just can't find a good RP reason to have him around. I got him at first just to be completionist, but stopped caring. I either play a noble from Ostwick (who are famous for kicking the qunari out of their home), or a Circle mage. Not to mention both of these characters I play as heavy Andrastian. I can't get in the right frame of mind for a Qunari companion on these. I had the same problem recruiting Sten as a human noble... the human just saw his family get wiped out. Why the hell would he recruit some giant convicted of slaughtering someone else's family? lol. I never felt desperate enough. Iron Bull and Sten work better for me on elves/dwarves/etc..

Oh yes, we forgot...people aren't allowed to have differing opinions than you.  Please forgive us.

I loved them all. Up until the point Sera hopped on the douche canoe. Then she became my least favorite character. She puts on an act that she is your friend, but honestly she's not. She has no sensitivity or empathy, regardless of her spouting about the little people. Anyone who mocks the people of someone who is already downtrodden and broken hearted deserves a ball of fire to the face. My Inq was supportive and friendly, accepted her for her quirks and oddities. What did she get? Laughed at and mocked when she was down. So...eff you Sera. Eff you.
