I was trying to get some +5 guard silverite, and happened to pick up some dawnstone on my DW assassin rogue that gives 10% chance of walking fortress for 3 seconds instead.  Given that I'm a DW rogue who hits quickly, and intend on having a +5 hit hidden blade proc and a +4 hit hidden blade proc on my weapons, it seems like I will be hitting crazy fast and would likely have walking fortress up basically all the time.

Anyone have experience with this?  The +5 guard silverite seems pretty awesome, but I am hitting a lot...  and I don't actually HAVE the silverite yet, as I haven't gotten it from a node...

Best defense is a strong offense.  Kill the baddies fast and you won't need much guard.  The Hidden Blades fade-touched stuff achieves that masterfully.  I never used anything else on my melee character's weapons (Iron Bull, Cassandra and Blackwall are killing stuff supremely quickly with the 5 extra hits stuff).  I never found the need for guard all that often (though I'm playing on Normal difficulty, so higher difficulties probably need guard/barrier quite a bit more often).

Quick related question - I've heard/read that having more than one of the same masterwork makes it bugged and not work, but different tiers do work.  That is, a +4 hit and +5 hit hidden blades proc will work, but having 2 of the +5 hit makes it not work.  Have you tried that?  Is that true?  Thanks.
