Congrats to those who have been able to trigger this. :D

It's not working for me, yet.

I started and completed Hearts before I even spoke to Varric/Hawke. Just after meeting Hawke in Crestwood, I attempted to trigger the Loghain+Morrigan dialog but it didn't work. Now I'm in the part just before Adamant, and the scene still won't trigger. I've tried reloading a save a few times, I've tried fast traveling to the garden over and over, I've tried exiting and re-entering Skyhold over and over.  I've exhausted all of Loghain's dialog, and I've exhausted Morrigan's dialog down to I think 2 topics that she repeats forever. So far, nothing.

They could probably add this back in later if it was cut, the dialogue is there, it just requires the scene now.

I would love to see a King Alistair who did the ritual see Kieran.

is there one for Loghain who did the ritual? Gods, I want to see his reaction to kieran!

im surprised there isn't a Loghain-Allistair mention that they talked at all or anything since him becoming a warden and Allistair marrying his daughter Anora

This was great. I've yet to do a PT with a Warden Alistair. Really happy to know this was included. Still....my heart breaks for my poor Queen/Warden Cousland who can't give him what Morrigan could. Too many feels Bioware (in a good way of course)  :crying:

Omg - thanks very much for the people who put up SS and vids.

And thanks to mr gaider for returning to confirm/deny :-)

Going to try my luck triggering. If it doesn't work, shrug, at least I've seen the footage lol.

Awwwwww. Now I'm sorry that the version of Alistair who fathered Kieran in my world state was king instead of Warden - I think he'd like knowing that Morrigan actually said something nice about him to their kid :) .

(It's really a shame we only have that one brief moment of King Alistair - it would have been cool for him and Morrigan to be able to talk about the whereabouts of the Warden, or to see him interact with Leliana, not to mention that Fiona is standing around Skyhold the whole time ... still, I guess we can't have everyone visit.)

DLC hopefully.

So if allistar is king then this whole scene is not even possible? ???

This is honestly probably my single biggest disappointment with the game, and I knew it almost certainly wasn't going to happen.

Seriously, Alistair and Loghain have never spoken a word to each other. In world states where they're both alive, that needs to be remedied.

Hopefully they might meet up in a Warden-centric dlc or something.

The more time I spend around these forums, the more I realize I somehow managed to miss *so* many triggered conversations in over 200 hours in a single playthrough.  All the sad feels, all of them.

Alas, no. King Alistair never comes anywhere near Skyhold or Morrigan.

The only other thing I know I did that might have affected it was exhaust Alistair and Morrigan's conversation options. I talked with Alistair and exhausted all his conversation options when I found him in Crestwood, and I talked to and exhausted all of Morrigan's conversation options when I returned to Skyhold after Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts. If you haven't already talked with both of them, try that.

If that still doesn't work, try finishing some side quests or clearing out an area/zone you haven't done yet. Save/reload, leave Skyhold and come back, use the teleport pyramid thingy to go straight to the garden, maybe even try jumping into the garden from the battlements like I did. Double check that your world state meets one of the conditions for them to have a conversation as well.

If you still can't get it to trigger no matter what, then it's possible it might be bugged. I can just say for sure that it is in the game and not cut content.

Yeah, I followed your suggestions repeatedly, and it never appeared for me, either. Exhausted all conversation, attempted it multiple times, but nothing. :(

What platform are you on? Think bioware does most of their testing on ps4, and Xbox one userd have got it to trigger. So maybe its PC specific?

Such a shame, they should have had him visited game of thrones style with a large convey full of soldiers, cooks, etc and you throw a dinner and melee tournament as a gratitude of his visit.

I guess not. I don't want Hawke or Alistair to die, but I also don't want to miss this scene.

Oh well, I guess there are rewards for certain sacrifices.

Just a quick question, if you did the Dark Ritual and went through the Eluvian, which part of the vid in the op would you get? The first one?

I did the ball first. I'm going to do the Crestwood mission next. I hope it triggers with Loghain. If it does that might tempt me to

that will be very painful though.

If you did the dark ritual and go through the eluvian, you get the conversation where Morrigan talks about her and the Warden raising Kieran together for a time.

Not that I don't believe you, but do you have a link for David's comment?

Also, I'm curious as to where in the game this conversation would fit. I can't think of any such instance.

You know, you would think Bioware would have something extra if you happen to have Morrigan, Alistair, and Leiliana all at Skyhold at the same time. Doesn't make sense that the three wouldn't acknowledge each other at all. Obviously they weren't all friends (well, neither was friends with Morrigan anyway), but they did travel together for months.

Is that not in there? If you go and get Morrigan and then begin the plot with the Grey Wardens, there is a period where Alistair or Loghain is potentially at Skyhold at the same time as her -- and there is a scene between the two of them if you go and speak to Morrigan. Might only be if they were involved in the Dark Ritual, I don't actually recall, but I don't think so.

It must be bugged, I had Alistair, Morrigan and Keiran at Skyhold at the same time forever and they never spoke. Went ahead and did the fade quest, sacrificed Hawke and Alistair just told me to tell Morrigan something for him. I think you have to have Morrigan at Skyhold before you even meet Alistair....i will not give up making this happen unless its officially confirmed cut.

I can confirm that this content is not cut. In order to get these conversations, you have to do the following:

  1. Go to Crestwood and meet with Hawke's "Warden friend".
  2. Put Here Lies the Abyss on hold and complete Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts.
  3. Alistair/Loghain and Morrigan will now both be at Skyhold.
  4. Wander around, maybe do some side quests or war table missions, save/reload... eventually Alistair/Loghain will show up in the garden with Morrigan.
  5. Proceed to listen to their ambient conversation.

I did this with my save state where Morrigan had a regular human child with my Warden and got her "I could have had them both" conversation.

Screenshot:

noo1XuW.png(I dropped down into the garden from one of the battlements, hence why I'm on the roof of the gazebo. lol)

has this been done with king Alistair?

can you talk to alistair after the conversation?

Yeah this sucks maybe they will do a patch to fix it because it seems broken. I can't even find Loghain at Skyhold I wish they put them on the map.

No Loghain/Morrigan? That would have been interesting.
