Well, next play, I change my Keep to have Anora as Queen and Alister as warden.

has this been done with king Alistair?
can you talk to alistair after the conversation?
King Alistair doesn't show up at Skyhold at any point in the game.
No Loghain/Morrigan? That would have been interesting.
Loghain and Morrigan are at the very end of the video.
Yeah this sucks maybe they will do a patch to fix it because it seems broken. I can't even find Loghain at Skyhold I wish they put them on the map.
Alistair/Loghain and presumably Stroud show up at the same place you meet Hawke for the first time, up on the battlements.

Still can't get this to trigger. I've had Morrigan and Loghain both in Skyhold for 10+ game hours, been going in and out of the map, saving reloading, doing quests, coming back. Still getting nothing.

First da:I playthrough I used Alistair is king world state. Stroud never visits skyhold.
If Loghain or Alistair is the warden you get, do they visit skyhold? I'm just thinking if they never visit skyhold then this scene just can't happen. Kinda sucks it was cut. Hell they could have thrown Leliana in as the person asking questions about Kieran and I would have enjoyed that.

IT wasn't cut, but it does seem bugged for some.
Stroud probs did show up and youmissed him though, there's nothing to announce their arrival. I found him by accident when I went looking to see if hawke was still hanging around.

Morrigan was always one of my top 3 characters in the Dragon Age universe but Inquisition officially booted her up all the way to absolute favorite. Her character growth was amazing. Makes me wonder what the likes of Sera might be like ten years down the line.
I'm right at the point where it might be possible to make this trigger. I have met Alistair in Crestwood and have yet to journey to the rendezvous point in the Western Approach. So now I will definitely put the quest on hold and do Wicked Eyes, Wicked Hearts first to see if I can get this to fire.
The way Morrigan says "I could have had them both ..." ![]()

Hmm... Alistair is either a drunk or king in my playthroughs of origins...

I literally just ran past Stroud on the battlements where you originally meet Hawke. So yes, he does visit Skyhold, as do Alistair and Loghain. He just has no reason to talk to Morrigan like they might.

What i found is that morrigan has changed her mind and wants the hero of ferelden to meet his son.
Are you talking about the audio in the opening post?
Cause if so, that audio comes from a playthrough in which the Warden went through the Eluvian with Morrigan, so there's no change of mind going on (the 'change of mind' already happened in Witch Hunt)
Sadly, I can't try to unlock this conversation in my current run. Which could have been beyond grand, cause Allistair had the Old God baby with Morrigan in this playthrough. But, Allistair is king with Anora. (and the Warden secretly his mistress

Lol, Have you *met* Morrigan? She rarely gives information about her feelings and if she does, she plays it close to her vest"I would have preferred to have consulted him. It did not have to end the way it did."
Once again, BW wants to have its cake and eat it too. In the first game Morrigan is all "its my child, I'm an independent woman and don't you dare try to follow me." and in this game "Wish my child had got to meet his father. (subtext: Stupid deadbeat dad.)"
EDIT: To some of the comments below mine, she said "would have" implying that she wanted him there at the time even though she said she didn't. If she meant now, she would have said something like "I didn't want him there then, but now I wish I hadn't said that" or "I wish I had been able to consult him. I did not have to end it that way."

I think this is in the game only if Alistair is a Grey Warden I think.

I can confirm that this content is not cut. In order to get these conversations, you have to do the following:
I did this with my save state where Morrigan had a regular human child with my Warden and got her "I could have had them both" conversation.
- Go to Crestwood and meet with Hawke's "Warden friend".
- Put Here Lies the Abyss on hold and complete Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts.
- Alistair/Loghain and Morrigan will now both be at Skyhold.
- Wander around, maybe do some side quests or war table missions, save/reload... eventually Alistair/Loghain will show up in the garden with Morrigan.
- Proceed to listen to their ambient conversation.
Screenshot:(I dropped down into the garden from one of the battlements, hence why I'm on the roof of the gazebo. lol)
I will keep side questing then. I did it in that order but when I got I the garden it's just Morrigan & Kieran there.

Then she wouldn't have said as much as she did. She actually paid Alistair a compliment in one version of the dialog, she's clearly feeling more open for the moment than usual. It's a mistake in the writing.

Man, would kinda suck if Alistar was King, and this scene didn't happen. I mean c'mon old god with royal blood??? He'd be next in line for the throne!

Where is the Warden helper when they're at Skyhold? I've been looking everywhere for him and can't find him.
The battlements. Same place that you first run into Hawke.

And he's supposed to be there after you finish the ritual tower thing in the Western Approach?

This is a great discovery, and it shows how Morrigan has matured. Good to know, although in my canon playthrough Alistair (the father) is king. Well, at least it's nice to know that Morrigan told Kieran that his father was "a good man".

So if you sided with the mages, in theory you could have Fiona, Alistair, and a version of the kid that's Alistair's son at skyhold at once? Family reunion!

oh damn so I need to do the crestwood part of the warden quest first then do Winter Palace then do Western Approach? I can't trigger my Morrigan Loghain scene. I went to the Winter Palace before touching any of the hawke/warden related quests. ugh I don't want to go back to before the Winter Palace.

Uh, no, you can do Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts at the same time, but most go for the Grey Wardens first, I believe.
It definitely plays out more fulfilling and smoothly (at least for me) to go to Adamant first and then to Halamshiral.
