I've tried but failed. I'm still working at it though.

some things never change with bioware they always cut out the best stuff

*LOL*

Isn't this the truth....across both ME and DA, the amount of cut content is impressive...do other RPG videogames like say The Witcher have as much cut content...

I started over on my PS4 nightmare playthrough just for this scene. Did everything in order as described in this thread. No conversation. I am very disappointed. I keep doing quests, going back to check, restarting the game. I went against my norm to get get warden alistair too just for this scene. I totally feel cheated. Stupid bugs.

I'd wager a guess that other fandoms aren't as large and/or don't try so hard to dig around to find remnants of cut content. Every game has a ton of cut content, it just seems that Bioware games tend to have more people looking for it.

This is crazy that something a lot of people seem to really want and would be an awesome thing to see is such hard work to do in the exact perfect order praying to get this small but special scene to come up! It should NOT have to be this hard to get this scene to pop up. Its sad, this interactions is a huge part for what happened in previous games. Sad :(

Is my Morrigan cut scene gone because the Warden in Wicked Eyes is someone called Stroud! Also, in other conversations with leliana she refers to the Hero of Fereldon as a 'She." I don't have my 360 anymore and never used the cloud nor do I remember playing DAO as a female, but its been quite some time since I did play it so my memory may have escaped me. Alistar does show up as a King with in one of my playthroughs with his queen from DAO and Loghain may have been killed in DAO on one of my playthroughs. If all that is the case, does it mean if I play DAI in the correct order talked about, the cut scene will never appear? Morrigan is in the courty and and I haven't gone to Adamant as yet.

I did Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts first before going to Crestwood and meeting the Warden, does that keep the cut scene from happening or does it matter because only Morrigan is in Skyhold.?

It won't. The Warden/Morrigan conversation will happen after you did the quest at the Western Approach(Meeting Erimond for the first time). If the Warden contact isn't Alistair, then that scene would not show up.

Only ever see it work with a dead warden that romance Morrigan so no OGB. Still can't get it to work with a romanced Alistair that did the dark ritual. :/

Wow, I've only just stumbled on this on YT by accident.

Damn, Morrigan so emotional really got to me. Made me tear up... perfect delivery by Claudia Black. I'm still overcome by feels.

Nothing in the game made me actually cry (though Dorian's friendship came close), not even the Solas romance. But then over a month after I completed the game, THIS does it? Huh.

Being a mother really HAS changed her. Her character development is amazing. I thought she was awesome in DAO, but in DAI she became by absolute favorite character. This just confirms once more why.

Maybe it's for the better this conversation isn't a cutscene. Would rip my heart right out to see her face...

"I could have had them both..."

"I thought you deserved that much."

...just KILLS me every time I listen to it. :crying:

Damn you, Bioware...

Great scene. Thanks for the vid.

This scene is a follow up to the greatest plot twist in DAO (well, to me, anyways). It should have been more visible. I realize that it might be bugged currently, but even the intended mechanics are too obscure. I would've love to see it in the game, as this story arc in DAO meant a lot to me, and my warden didn't even romance Morrigan. Alistair is the father :)

I can't seem to get this to happen, I did Wicked eyes wicked hearts before going to Crestwood to have Morrigan in Skyhold first and checked every chance I got to see if they would talk but nothing. I did get Alistair saying to tell Morrigan he stood around looking stupid after I'd done Adamant though so he knew she was there...ugh I wanted him to see his boy so much.

I've all but given up getting this to happen on console. If you are on PC, however, there is hope, but it requires you do some save file editing.

I'll tell you how to do it, but you have to alter your save files, so be VERY CAREFUL.

And if you're playing the game on a console, you won't be able to do this, either.

I picked out a save between finishing the Winter Palace and just before Adamant.

FluffyNinjaLlama was nice enough to offer these instructions in the comments of the video above: "You have to set BOOL flag 8793907F8149A345BFFE7BFAE33101A2 from False to True"

I used the save game editor by Ehamloptiran found here: http://daitools.free...flags-t277.html

Ehamloptiran's Warning: "Be warned, very little checking going on, so very easy to break things, always backup and dont save over the same save."

After backing up all my save files, I used the editor to change my save file as described. I fast-traveled to the garden, and the scene triggered on the first try.

"At least you have him."

"Yes... but I could have had them both."

:(

I'm glad my HoF went through the mirror with her. I assume Alistair does not talk to her if he did? Because I guess the absent hero is not so absent. Morrigan knows exactly where he is.

I think the Keep import is bugged. I triple checked I had Alistair have the OGB with Morrigan... waited and waited for this scene. Didn't happen so I went to Adamant. Left Alistair in the Fade, spoke to Morrigan and she asked whether the HOF was there and said he helped her once and that Keiran wouldn't be here if not for him... So the world state thinks my HOF had the OGB with Morrigan... hmmpf. She called Alistair foolhardy but valiant. That was all she said.

Yes because ten years and a son should not change her in any way at all.

IMPOSSIBLE!

"I would have preferred to have consulted him. It did not have to end the way it did."

Once again, BW wants to have its cake and eat it too. In the first game Morrigan is all "its my child, I'm an independent woman and don't you dare try to follow me." and in this game "Wish my child had got to meet his father. (subtext: Stupid deadbeat dad.)"

EDIT: To some of the comments below mine, she said "would have" implying that she wanted him there at the time even though she said she didn't. If she meant now, she would have said something like "I didn't want him there then, but now I wish I hadn't said that" or "I wish I had been able to consult him. I did not have to end it that way."

People change over ten years, and Morrigan was a stubborn person who wanted to put her own personal goals above anything that may've conflicted with them and is afraid of committing - she makes this known repeatedly if you romance her. It makes perfect sense. Also, I distinctly remember it being possible for the Warden to follow Morrigan and eventually meet up with her and decide to enter the Eluvian together in Witch Hunt. My Warden wasn't a deadbeat.
