I made a "Favourite companions from the Dragon Age series" poll, so I thought I'd follow up with this one. Are there companions you couldn't warm up to or just flat out despised? There's no limit on how many you can vote for. Just vote for any that you harbored any negative feelings for, this excludes companions you were neutral towards.

Oh boy... there are a lot of names that would populate my list, but I decided to go with Morrigan, Isabela, Anders, and Sera.  Varric was spared because I did like him a lot more in DA2 than in DA:I.  I also disliked Merrill and Velanna, but voting for 6 people would have been way too many.

 

Oh yeah, I also never cared for Sten, but I usually leave him in his cage so he's not in the party often enough to make a "disliked characters" list.

 

Also, Finn always rubbed me the wrong way for some reason... I think that's everybody...

 

edit:  Whoa... how in the heck did I forget Shale?  I hated her!  Oh well... I'll just mention her here and leave it at that.  She probably wouldn't have made the top 4 anyway.

I don't see how this could hurt someone's feelings? Could you elaborate?

I really only have four companions that I dislike:

 

Zevran, Oghren, Velanna, and Sebastian

 

But I voted for my second tier as well, the ones that I kind of don't like, but don't actively dislike:

 

Anders, Merrill, Fenris, Justice, and Cole

 

ETA:  Damn!  I forgot to add Sera to the second tier.  I can't believe I didn't vote for her and her silly, pranking self.

I'm trying to think of a companion I actively dislike. It's... not coming to me. Closest would be Leliana or Sera I guess, and even they have their charms.

 It takes a lot of effort for me to dislike any companion. Up to now only Anders, "Justice"-nonsense and Merrill have achieved it.

Who voted Lady Mabari?

Some characters are divisive, and detractors are *loud*, often with absolutely no empathy for a character's fans. When you like unpopular characters, the BSN becomes a sea of hate where you cannot even dip in your toe without getting it slimed in the raw sewage people thoughtlessly spew into it. Visiting the forum becomes an overwhelmingly negative experience. Un-fun, in other words. As a fan of both Blackwall and Anders, I know what I'm talking about.
