For me it is that I found her empty-headed banter more annoying than endearing (I have a similar issue with Sera), and she's extremely arrogant to boot. Arrogance is tolerable in a character like Vivienne who is both cunning and competent, but not in a character who is so obviously foolishly rushing to her doom. Merrill gets no shortage of good advice concerning her mirror and demon buddy, but she ignores it because she ironically thinks she's the smartest person in the room.

Interesting.  I pretty much agree with you.

 

If I had to pick one from each game, I'd have to go:

 

DA: O - Zevran (although I did hate Oghren)

DA: A - Velanna (no competition)

DA 2 - Sebastian (no competition)

DA: I - Sera?  Cole?   (I don't hate either of them, so it's a toss up)

 

Aaaaaand, looking at my list, I apparently am prejudiced against blonde elves......

You know, aside from Anders, I didn't vote for a single Awakening companion on this poll. And honestly if they had separate options for Anders(Awakening) and Anders(DA2), I would have left the Awakening version off on this one, though I probably would have left him off on the favorites poll, too.

Leliana is incredibly mary suey and the French accent is annoying.

 

you must be mad, i love her voice and accent *^*  i think they picked the perfect actress for the part.  a french woman who studied in england playing a fereldan woman who grew up in orlais 8D

1 (Vivivine) and 9 (Fenris) are the only one's I've yet to find things redeemable about.

 

Tallis might also be there but its hard to differentiate between her and just the DLC storyline.

Velanna gave me a migraine. Couldnt really bring myself to care about Blackwall. The big reveal... my care level was still at 0 and i just went through the motions for those missions. Dont think i even blinked

Probably an unpopular opinion. Iron Bull. Think the game wanted me to like him. Dont tell me what to do game
