I don't feel particularly strongly anti- any particular companion (aside from the temporary ones - I'd have voted for Tallis if she were included), at least in a meta sense.  I can certainly see the Warden/Hawke/Inquisitor disliking people in the context of the story, but I don't think that's what the OP is looking for.

 

That said, I found Oghren to be tedious, and I found myself liking Iron Bull less and less as I saw more of his content in a second run (as comic relief, I like him - as a serious character, not at all), so those two are probably my least favourites.

DA:2 Merrill with a passion, first thing she does when you meet her is to lie.Tallis pretty much for the same reason. Anders, strangely, does not fall in that category.

DA:I Vivienne. Shallow, greedy, grubbing ladder climber is how I see her.

I made a "Favourite companions from the Dragon Age series" poll, so I thought I'd follow up with this one. Are there companions you couldn't warm up to or just flat out despised? I don't think I can answer this because it's kind of implied that disliking them is a bad thing rather than effective storytelling.

 

Also...haw can anyone dislike Sigrun or Dog, lol?

I feel very sad to see that Merrill is so high on the list.

 

She's one of my favorites. I really do not get the hate for her, especially in a post DA:I world where we know that she knew waaaaaay more about what she was doing and talking about than anyone else in DA2 believed.

I mean if he never got out of the fade Anders wouldnt blow up the chantry. On a side note i blame the Warden-Commander...

edit: I blame alot of others but if the "Warden-Commander" never went to Blackmarsh Justice would of never got out in the first place

Velanna, Vivienne, Sebastian, and Carver.  

 

I loved Isabela the first time I played, then the next few times I started to not like her because she kept betraying me because I didn't get her approval up high enough.  Finally fixed that the last time I played but those previous experiences really left a bad taste in my mouth.  I still like her, just don't love her like I did.  

 

Sebastian is everything I hate in a guy (minus the mommy's boy thing) wrapped in a package with pretty eyes and a nice accent.  I'm sooooo glad I didn't get his DLC.  Seriously.

 

Velanna was a b*tch and just wasn't interesting in the slightest. Did she have any character growth in Awakenings, 'cause I can't remember it.

 

Vivienne is a b*tch too, but a well written one.  She had points that I could respect even though I disagreed with her.  She just kept disapproving of almost everything I did and I will never compromise my position just to satisfy her.  I did a playthrough recently where I didn't let her join the Inquisition, but it felt kinda hollow.  I missed seeing the Vivienne Disapproves in the corner of my screen.  I actually like having someone there who doesn't get along with my Inq.  Adds to the experience. 

 

Carver was really well done.  His antagonistic relationship with Hawke is the polar opposite one to what Hawke has with Bethany and it forms an interesting sibling dynamic.  Seeing it this relationship change and adapt as the years went by and how Carver's able to grow into a role he feels at home in is rewarding.  However, like Vivienne, I do not like him but I came to respect him and I could understand how he felt.

It's true. I understand why Justice got swept into Kristoff but to willingly accept. It's like Anders learned nothing.
