Go to that link and buy a new video card, your intel chip won't be good for anything except running Red Alert 2.

You got a computer with a crap built-in video card. If you want to play a graphic-intensive game (like Dragon Age), you will need to buy a proper video card.

It's that simple. Sorry you have a crap video card.

According to many people, the game will run fine on high settings, 1280x1024 and 1680x1050, if you have an nVidia 9600GT. It will run all current (and older) games fine, and will last you some time into the future too. In the Netherlands, the price has dropped to about €70.

The game can also be played with even cheaper cards such as the 9500GT and 8600GT, but then you will have to cut graphics options or resolutions.

If you are talking about a notebook, you can't even upgrade your graphics card. Sorry...

Post the rest of your specs, whats the point of telling him to buy a graphics card without knowing if the rest of his system is up to scratch.

The two main things that matter when it comes to video cards are what type of expansion slots you have(PCI, AGP, PCI-X), and the wattage of your power supply.

In your case, being a enw comp it is a fairly safe bet it has PCI-X, but if you could post the model number of your system we could look it up and find out.

As to power supply, theres no way to guestimate that.  We'd need the model number to figure it out.

All that being said, any GeForce 9500 or better card should do you fine.

For $65 this might be your best bet:

Typically with most PC's you would buy off the shelf, they tend to come only with built in GPU's designed to run Windows and thats about it. This is why "gaming" PC's tend to cost more. What you need to do is make sure you have an available slot of a graphics card (PCI-E or on older PC's AGP) as well as a sufficient enough power supply for the new card.

Your processor is another low point, but it will run Dragon Age. Just not very smoothly depending on your settings.

Just a quick note that PCI-X is not PCI-Express.  PCI-X is an older technology often found in servers and high-end workstations.  It uses the same concepts as PCI but offers a faster bus.

In short, don't buy anything that says PCI-X.  Look for PCIe or PCI-Express.
