Are there any plans to add mouse+keyboard support in some coming patch or another? I tried to play this game for some hours and it felt evident controls in combat are so irrational they make it hard to enjoy this game.

On Surface level, control scheme pretty much puts you in an MMORPG mindset. Most of it seems well done.  Yet, you can't use LMB or RMb for moving forward?! Instead, you have this weird hybrid nightmare where you can/should steer with mouse  and use W for moving onwards? In keybindings, you can't actually alter functions of LMB RMB, besides switching them to opposite.  This small quirk, when combined with weird, lame and evident need to constantly spam some default attack makes mid combat movement in this game nightmare. I just can't find a way to move in this game in remotely satisfying fashion.

I find it astonishing the few reviews I read didn't make a big deal out of this. Combat with Keboard+Mouse is terrible and I'd much rather wait, even for a very long time, for a patch that fixes it than use my Xbone controller for an RPG like this.

I'm pretty optimistic it gets fixed; it almost works great. The Devastating bits in it are enough to ruin my experience, but at the same time, I can't see them as anything too deep rooted.

I've no intention to ruin this doubltess great gaming experience by forcing myself to play it with utterly dysfunctional controls. So yeah..any word on a fix for this?

You can't have a control scheme like this and have LMB/RMB tied to some lame must-spam-this attack. Just..no. It drives people who are  used to good control schemes of MMORPGs utterly insane.;p In general movement feels so weird and clunky, I don't get it. The fuk is the point of that terrible manual auto attack. I'd much rather be busy doing something else besides spamming it.

I pre-ordered this game only to find how horrid the PC controls are, they are horrendous. I've played this game about 30 minutes total, as the controls are so nauseating I cant play it.

I'm hoping they vastly improve the PC controls in patches, until then I wont be touching this bad Console port.

I'm one of these fans that tends to criticize Bioware, specially Dragon Age, due to the "new direction" thing. It is true that PC controls are obviously flawed; when I discovered that mulstiselecting characters was not an option and saw the "tactical cam"/joke I was very, very disappointed.

That said, I think most of you are overreacting to this. The game is perfectly playable, it requires some customization and time, but you get the hang of the design errors soon enough. I do hope Bioware add the aforementioned features, but you should try to get used to the controls meanwhile, despite the flaws and disappointments, Inquisition is a pretty good game.

One thing that puzzles me, though, is why they thought auto-walk button was important but auto-attack outside tactical cam not.

I haven't had any real trouble with the PC controls. But I haven't used a melee character yet so that might be it.

I swapped the mouse buttons and moved Q and E to A and D and I've not had any issues with it since.
