I just bought the Elite Assassin's Mantle, and was very disappointed with the way it turned out. It doesn't look Orlesian at all, and although it has a mask its on the back of her head instead of her face... I mean, why'd they do that??

If anyone has an Assassin armor/skin that actually has a mask hiding her face, please tell me so I can get it.
Better yet, if anyone has a website/pictures of what armors actually look like once to get them, please provide the link. Honestly, hovering over an armor option should show how it looks instead of that art that doesn't represent what you're crafting.

I want it on her face. She can have two if she wants, but I want on her face... She even says "I'm smiling behind my mask." even when she isn't wearing one. Its disappointing.

After seeing Vivienne and even Celene, I know Bioware can design some amazing Orlesian fashion. It wouldn't be too difficult to make her armor more Orlesian instead of traveller's rags.

I want more full-helmets and masks in general. All of the MP are so ugly it would be best to cover them up.

It's a metaphor for her cold hearted exterior. Behind that cool and calculated look is a warmth and love for her companions.

...Or I'm I'm just spewing Druffalo chips everywhere, either or. ^_^

Her mask is behind her face. When she says that she is smiling behind her mask, she is referring to her face behind her mask.

That's what I jokingly thought to myself: She might be a bard, and her expressions are just another mask, hiding her true thoughts and feelings behind an emotionless face.

But, she obviously isn't a bard ("I like birds. I had a Parakeet. It was blue. Then it died." wouldn't be a good bard story) and her face is constantly aggressively snarling... So, it just doesn't actually make sense. And it isn't a real mask!!

I figured the "I am smiling behind my mask" remark to mean that her face is her mask, and the mask on the back of her head is smiling. Almost like she considers that one to be her "true face".

Maybe I am reading to much into it though XD

Lets juts throw a mask or helmet on everyone's face and call it even because all the character models are fairly ugly.

I think people here are still missing what the Assassin was trying to say. Lets try again.

The assassin has a mask located at the back of her head, looking in one direction, let's say RIGHT. She also has a face like normal people, aiming in the opposite direction, or LEFT. The face and the mask are therefore facing opposite directions.

The face and the mask are also located on the same head. Imagine a coin with a head and tail face. Behind the head is the tail side. Behind the tail is the head side.

When the assassin says "I am smiling behind my mask", she is saying that the mask that is facing RIGHT is on a head that has a face that is facing LEFT, and that this face on the LEFT is smiling. Or to use the coin analogy, the image of Abraham Lincoln located on the head side of the penny is smiling behind the union shield located on the tail side of the penny.

Or the armor is bugged and you're looking way too into things.

Saboteur, bioware is pretty incompetent but it is not possible to accidentally put a mask on the opposite side of the head. Thats like someone accidentally drew a face upside down. My explanation is the correct explanation and is not at all "looking too much into it". The assassin was making a simple play on words, about as unfunny as her parakeet line though.

Welp, I now know what to call my Assassin Build.

I'll call it 'Cuban Pete'! She's the king of the Rumba beat!
