So Bioware is the company that takes on social issues. How long till they give us a real female figure?

Now who is mad? ;)

Certainly not me. I got the better of you the second you started throwing the word stupidity around. ;)

Oh, I can only imagine the rage BioWare would receive for delivering a traditional Wonder Woman physique.

I suppose that is my point.

The only race that needs more meat on their bones are the elves. Bioware did a terrible job on their body models. :(

The human female looks fine to me though? The noodle arms are only most prominent while wearing the Skyhold pj's.

On the subject of species proportions. Did anyone else notice just how ridiculously wide the dwarfs were in DAI? You could fit at least three Cullens and a Solas for good measure between the dwarf PC's shoulder width.

'Cause humans aren't animals...

Stop it.

Humans are animals...not sure why you would say otherwise? Specifically we are an ape, the 5th ape, after gibbons, orangutans, gorillas and chimpanzees (not counting pygmy chimpanzees, aka. bonobos, which are apes as well.

Impressive moobs, though.

I'm thinking that if they'd been armed with poleaxes you and your career would have been shorter.

Nah, you just step just inside the actual blade, so they just hit you with the haft, you'd be surprised how much momentum that removes from a swing.

So quick to denounce the lizard person theory.

We'll see who is laughing when you're being probed!

The female warriors don't necessarily have to be big.

Most male warriors from our own history weren't muscle-bound behemoths either. The average Roman soldier for example was probably between 5'5 and 5'7 and well under 200 lbs. They were fit but not built like power-lifters. And they conquered much of Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa.

Also the most important physical trait for a soldier or warrior to have, both in antiquity and today, is endurance. Physical strength is important, but far less important than endurance.

Perhaps why you couldn't just walk around topless Skyrim style.

It wouldn't be pretty.

Best thing I'd recommend in future games is a series of body sliders like Dragon's Dogma that gives the option for everything in between. The options it presents are vast, from Wonder Woman-esque to full-figured to trim-'n-thin to an actual child's size.

Same in the medieval era, and those guys wore armour that weighed a ton.

You can in fact "compare" another species with a human i.e. take homosapieans and compare them to chimps. Our DNA is 98% simmilar. Also, monkeys and apes are two diffrent things. A chimp is an ape, learn some biology.

Also here is an article from the Smithsonian that compares the realitive strength of homosapieans and chimps. And explains why chimps are stronger than humans.http://www.smithsoni...1379994/?no-ist

I'm not sure this has anything to do with what people were talking about...

Actually armor in medieval Europe wasn't that heavy. A plate harness would weight about 50lbs. Very similar to a modern day infantryman.

You don't seem to be grasping my point, which is I'm not arguing with you, I'm showing how stupid your phrasing has been. Everything from, "comparing animal biology to humans" and calling apes "monkeys" has been wrong. It shows of someone who has no clue that Charles Darwin changed our understanding of biology back in oh...1859.

Uh, this definitely has nothing to do with what anyone is talking about.

I believe so as well.  As long as we're speaking on single player terms.

Common myth, the armour wasn't actually that heavy. I think I remember some guy saying modern soldiers need to carry gear heavier than most armours but I suppose that would depend on a number of things.

EDIT: Some guy above posted 50lbs... that's at the HIGH end of the spectrum.

Depends on the set, and poor people wore little to no armour, but you're right.

It's a matter of distribution though. Fifty pounds harnessed to your back isn't the same as the weight covering your whole body.

You'd think the latter easier but - as anyone who has jogged with weights on their legs will confirm - it really isn't.

Then, when people gripe about the protagonist's body structure, BioWare can just shrug their shoulders and say: "Hey, you made 'em like that."
