And then you are supposed to wait in the garden for that talk to happen (as they say). So, according to someone in comments to the video, the order is: Crestwood -> Halamshiral (the ball) -> the talk in the garden -> Adamant

So just stand around in the garden?

I've been trying to get this one to work, too, and nothing.

Well morrigan and Alistair are Def getting along better now than they did in origins. Morrigan called him a good man

Kinda sad Alistair doesn't even seem to take meeting his kid seriously. Yes yes defensive humor and all that, but come on Alistair, I knew you were a dingus but have a little respect...

Pity :( After DG sort of confirmed it supposed to be ingame, I hoped it's only me who can not make it work :(

No, it seems notoriously hard to trigger, at least on PC. It's there, because console players have posted videos, but, yeah, almost impossible.

Surprised there's not some conversation with Stroud if Kieren exists. Asking Morrigan about her role in the blight, maybe pondering why no warden died slaying the beast.

Poor Riordan, always forgotten.

Also, this is ****** good writing and voice acting! More of this, Bioware!

It's not really his kid though. Yes, it's his genetic material, but the rule from the beginning was no contact between them, so there's no reason Alistair should have any feelings for Kieran.

But it's so hard to trigger. Is it supposed to be so hard to trigger? And no one has seen Loghain's yet :(

I know what I'll be doing this weekend: trying to get this to trigger.

I tried to get this in my current play through but Loghain never went to talk to her.  Probably because my Warden was Kierans dad and not Loghain?

I always thought Alistair was pretty scarred by being a bastard/abandoned by his father. It was one of the reasons I hesitated having him do the DR (not that it stopped me). I would like to think he would show a little more interest in his own son, especially since Morrigan is more approachable.

I agree with what Shinobu said...

You'd think being a guy who seriously craves a sense of family (Goldanna, his attachment to Duncan, so on) Alistair would be sensitive to a boy growing up without a father figure in his life.

Isn't that a warden has to die slaying it super secret knowledge no one should know? Why would he be pondering it aloud for the inquisitor to hear?

Unless his old age is catching up to him. If he's going senile he might go up to the inquisition recruits and tell them to drink from his chalice, when they say it doesn't even have anything in it he stabs them for cowardice.

Yay! That's my video!

For those interested - was on the Xbox One. I did Here Lies the Abyss up until Adamant appeared on the war table. Then I did Wicked Hearts. Immediately after, I talked to Morrigan at skyhold about Keiran. Clicked on her again, and it was her usual dialog wheel.

I went to Crestwood right away, and then immediately came back to Skyhold. Went straight to the garden, and got the conversation.

I had not talked to Alistair at Skyhold prior to this. Don't know if that matters.

Maker bless you. I will fiddle around with this when I get some time off.

Alistair says "that's his little boy"... I'm assuming he is not the father. So does this trigger if Alistair is the father.. couldn't get it to work no matter what I did.

I can't either and I've tried over and over.

I suspect that it triggers only if the ritual was done with the warden... I talked with Morrigan about the kid and she doesn't even mention anything about Alistair. After Adamant she said that she was glad that her love(the warden) was not involved and that he is a good father.. so no mentioning about Alistair. Might be something related to the world state also.

I wasn't even aware that Alistair is at Skyhold.
