I think I've heard that Shadow Strike is melee range only, but what about other skills from specialization trees?
For example, can Assassin's Hidden Blades be used by archery rogues with bows equipped from a distance?

Shadow strike is a meleeskill, caltrops drop around you, knockout powder has low range.
Leaping shot can be used at max range but becomes more and more useless the more range to your target you have.
Hidden blades and mark of death are (from my experience) medium range skills. At least cole as an archer allways runs into medium range before he launches them if i use them from max range (tac cam, havent used them in actioncombatmode yet).
Knockout bomb has a pretty high range.
