So last week I posted a topic titled "I hate Dragon fights". This was a desperate attempt to get advice on how to deal with dragons with relative ease. I was losing the fights when I was 3 levels higher and on normal difficulty. I think this was mostly due to laziness when it comes to upgrading my stuff in the undercroft. I literally spent 3 hours in the undercroft upgrading my equipment and boom! Everything is soooo much better and I didn't actually realize how fun and how much better it is to make your own weapons and armor. I was relying mostly on loot drops for my stuff up until now. So now I am rather enjoying the dragon fights and I now believe all of you who said "they are fun!" Not only did my equipment help but I now use tac mode more to find vulnerabilities that I just did not bother with before. Oh and finding out that spirit blade RIPS through guard really made things less painful. Anyways so I just killed all 3 dragons in emprise du lion and it jumped me 3 levels! I now love EVERYTHING about this game.

I would like to thank all my fellow inquisitors for their advice in my bitter previous forum.

I like them aswell, but I wish they were more creative with the dragons. I mean except for like two or three dragons, all of them do the exact same thing.

While I'm ok with MOST of the dragons being different elemental cut-paste tactics jobs, I would have liked to see a couple of super powered unique ones like good old Spectral Butt from DA:O-Awakening.

"I hate Dragon fights".

"they are fun!"

I now love EVERYTHING about this game.

Ahhh...

So you've almost discovered how easy this game is.

Congratulations.

Taking that next step will be the greatest feeling. Because then you'll have finished the game on Hard, or Nightmare, and will have no desire to ever touch this game again.  And you'll happily move on to the next sugary console game.

Need a break from epic game action?  Pick up an easy win with Dragon Age: Inquisition.  A few tier 3 rift nukes are all that lays between you and that happy PWNage feeling you get when you finish it.  For extra safety, you get more than 9 lives in a fight to work it out.  Which is more than a cat!

Cats like things easy, you know?

Now go do this thing, Champion!

Oorah.

Yeah the dragon fights themselves are all pretty similar.

The coolest thing is how each dragon is unique in look, though. I know some share the same model, but they'll be different, gorgeous colours. It's awesome.

I've only done the Hinterlands dragon.  It was pretty disappointing.  I don't like any boss encounter that doesn't respect the threat table.

I used a taunt.

The dragon should attack me.

The end.

Just because someone are immune to taunt doesn't mean that the threat table isn't respected.

I like how they have different vulnerabilities but yesafter killing a few you start yo see the pattern that they all follow.

it's not that it was immune to taunt, it's that it randomly chooses party members and hits them with one-shot fireballs.
