Found this guy (he's clearly in the wall)... could he possibly be the Friends in High Places Perk messenger (Connections, requires captured keep)?

Pretty sure that's the quizquisition guy.

If you speak to him he asks you a DA lore trivia question, find him three times and get a question right each time and he gives you a unique weapon.

Yup he's the quizquizition guy.  He travels around and it usually pretty hard to find. Once I found him near Cole and another time near the stables.

Oh yeah, this quiz guy ended up in my quarters. Made me jump lol

I was wondering what the point of him was. Guess I need to check around the stables and Cole to find him again to get a special weapon?

If found him the other day in a vault in the lower parts of Skyhold. I was like: "I have a vault??? What the neck is this guy doing in my vault filled with gold?!"

I spent an hour or so running around one day trying to get behind that picture. But I'm pretty bad with figuring out spaces and shapes in my head. I was also stuck in the garden during the quest to save the empress for an hour because I couldn't find my way out. By the time I did, I didn't care I had no approval left, or who was trying to kill who. I just knew as many as the game would let me kill, was how many were going to die that night.

I kept seeing him highlighting through the floor in the thrown room, but the highlight would go away quickly before I could investigate. I was thinking it was the game glitching out.

Oh god, that's so true. I never really thought about it. It's silly there even needs to be a loading screen to get into your quarters. There's nothing there and nothing happens. It would be like needing a loading screen to get to Hawke's bedchambers. Um, okay. No, I take that back. At least there were little things you could click on and hear Hawke make comments.

They could have used something of a messaging system, sort of like how Commander Shepard gets messages on a terminal, you can have notes on your desk (dropped off by a servant or something) with notes from companions, quest opportunities and such, or even potentially have companions randomly show up at the quarters, possibly based on approval, sort of like how companions would show up at the Hawke estate.
