I tried but I can't stand how short they are, maybe one day I'll play the race in DAI.
I too also liked the Dwarven Noble in Origins, thank you Gorim for all that extra money. ![]()

I, only.
And one of the great things in Dragon Age is, Dwarfs are more than just funny little guys with beards and beer.
Most other series have dwarfs with rich lore too, in theory ..., but you only see beards, beer and 'Ho ho ho ho'.
I'd never touch an elf.
I DO!!! I love dwarves as they are presented in Dragon Age. The amount of reactivity in Orzammar for a dwarf character is amazing. I love the lore and history. And I love the short, stout heroes defeating evil and making the world safe for all.
My canon Warden was a female Noble Dwarf archer (Ranger-love the Great Bear). Her eventual party consisted of Shale, Oghren, and Leliana (on dagger patrol). Then Awakenings saw my Aeducan with Oghren, Sigrun, and Nathaniel. One of my favorite moments in Awakenings is when this party is together and we encounter Groundskeeper Samuel. When getting ready to choose a dialogue response, the camera is focused on my three dwarves, and Nathaniel is cut off because he is too tall! Then we have the Golems of Amgarrak for another three dwarf party with a bronto AND a golem. Good times! Oh, and bonus points for Leliana romance being properly animated so that she kneels when kissing her dwarf partner!
After having so much dwarfy goodness, I didn't think I would choose another dwarf right away. But after being forced into human selection, and having Varric around a bit, I guess I must have missed them too much. I swore I was going to play a Qunari mage, but I am instead playing a male Cadash shield warrior (on his way to becoming a Templar) who is starting his romance with the Iron Bull. I am not very far in yet -it definitely shows my love for the race with me already declaring this as my canon character-, but I just encountered a scene where the main villain picks up the Inquisitor by the arm, and I must say I love how the overwhelming size difference accentuates their struggle. I am a little disappointed by the female models this time, but the male dwarf proportions are excellent. And great beards!
OP obviously hasnt played origins
**** No! I hope you eat a bowl full of shut up.

I am. Just started my second playthrough with a dwarven character that I'm just as excited about as my elven Inquisitor. Intend to play her to the end.
My second favorite Warden was a Dwarf noble and my next Inquisitor will be a Dwarf warrior. I like playing Dwarves because it's a free pass to be gruff and abrasive, and I get to make an "ugly" character on purpose.
I DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In DAO yes, considering a large portion of the game was tied to your origin (Orzammar)
In DAI - not yet, how does dwarf gameplay compare to DAO folks?
My planned characters thus far:
DW elf rogue - Done
Archer elf rogue - Done
2H Qunari warrior - Half done
Elven mage - Started
1H Human/Dwarf warrior - Undecided
Honestly I can't see myself rolling a human though, so I might just go dwarf
Meeeeee! All my wardens were elves or dwarves
Yup, Aeducan, Brosca and Cadash represent!
Also, John Epler worked REALLY hard to make sure Iron Bull was romanceable with any character race and I want to make sure he hasn't wasted his time ![]()
Dwarven dual dagger tempest
Ha me too. Zydrate69, your dwarf looks awesome. I never can make a toon where the face tattoos look good like that. Also agree the beards are terrible so I made mine beardless and that just feels wrong but what really bothers me about dwarfs is to me theres something off about their proportions. I dunno if their legs are too short comparred to their torso or what but its something.
in a good RPG game I try all races, so yeah I do play them and I did like it alot in DAO

Here, here. Epler really did us dwarf-fans a huge solid by putting in that extra time for us. Otherwise, straight female and gay male dwarves would have been restricted to just Blackwall and Dorian (respectively). The fact that we get choice makes this game much more enjoyable for me and it seems like Epler is responsible for this to a large respect.

Got a couple made an ready just no played through the game with them yet though, just keep making more humans
I've never completed a Dwarf playthrough before, because I've almost always played mages in Dragon Age games. I never had the opportunity to play a Dwarf due to the class restrictions, so I usually played Elves in Origins. And yet, with Inquisition, I made my dwarf rogue archer on a whim, and now I think he's my canon Inquisitor! I plan to romance the Iron Bull, and I'm really looking forward to making more Dwarves in the future, both in Inquisition and back in Origins. Praise the Ancestors!
Female Rogue Dwarves are always my first choices.
Never played a dwarf.

Mine too! Still not through my first playthrough, but have over 200 hours in so far (Yeah, I'm a Completionist. What about it?) and Quizzy Cadash Rocks!
Wish I could say the same for the PC UI. <sigh>
