Seemed like a perfectly good I idea I bet bioware was thinking, it bugs me that enemy templars with the shield can just walk at you and block everything yet we have some dinky shield that we need to raise 3inchs higher and put our arm to the side of it in order to block properly, so while that's fine and dandy for a game the annoying thing is that when speced fully into defensive passives I still take about 25 damage (50 or so on perilous) from archers whilst I'm facing their direction and they drain your stamina bar like mental.
Before what ever patch came out they would take 1 damage whilst I was looking at them without needing to block and conserve my stamina for the melee so I could actually tank and hold agro for my team, now I can barely stand guard at a door or any choke point for barely 10 seconds with archers firing and if I just so happen to need to turn around to back off round a corner then say good bye to my health bar basically, it's bad enough that the controls for this game is just outright awful and not letting us have the ability to strafe or walk backwards without having to have an enemy targeted infront and with your block up, but giving enemies a massive damage boost because they hit your sides or back is just crazy annoying, especially when sometimes an enemy can brush past you which for some reason may force your character to face another direction for a second before looking forward again and taking big damage.
Please Bioware, tone the archers damage as there's no reason for them to be firing machinegun bows whilst also taking more damage than melee enemies and having no damage reduction for being right in their face, they're basically the strongest enemy in the game.
