I'm fully aware of that, and I didn't wish to go into it as I said before. I only brought it up now because it was stated to make a point against my previous argument. That and I feel compelled to stay true to my opinion.

 

Anyway, like I said, sexuality, gender identity, they're factually different when we're talking science, but as a social issue, they're not so much. Social constructs of humans tend to be inaccurate, like our "races" when we're all really one race, the human race. But social constructs are what they are. And in our society, anything related to sexuality remotely is considered of the same topic.

Yet your "opinion" is categorically wrong and therefore not an opinion because there is no subjectivity in this case. Someone else's gender identity is not open to your interpretation. An "opinion" would be approval or disapproval of his gender identity because that would actually be subjective, rather than trying to falsify someone's else experience and existence when they're standing right in front of you.

I like being able to play as myself in a game - this includes my sexuality. And just like irl, you will see other - and notice - sexualities. And I don't really believe you really get confronted with it anyways if you do not search for it ingame.

Yeah, if you think our expression of gender is just a social construct, then why purposefully misgender someone? Because if it doesn't matter, then why deny someone the ability to express their socially constructed reality, while (presumably) not doing it to cis gendered people? I just don't get it. Race may be a messy social construct, but I'll never say "oh you're not black, you're just a human", because the only way we live is as social creatures in a world that reacts and adapts to those categories.

That is a matter of fact. There's nothing factual about a social issue, so you can kindly take your bad attitude and twisted panties to someone who cares.

I didn't say it was "just a social construct", I said that sexuality is a social issue, and socially, we group everything related to sex together as the same topic.

 

Though the issue of who we accept as male and female is indeed social. Factually, it's those of the sex that can ovulate, and those of the sex that can fertilize.

Voted neutral as I truly don't care either way as long they are written well. However that's in game, on forums I'll do my best to troll both sides of the argument because watching everyone frothing at the mouth is much to fun to pass up.
