Do you think, given all we have to play around with, that we'll see a major expansion, like the Tevinter Empire? Or do you think it will be one of the typical major mission types that only last a few hours?
Personally I would love to see both, but I'm more hopeful for something akin to Awakening in the sense of story and scope.

Tevinter Imperium has a low chance to be an expansion.
- Most people want Tevinter as DA4's main theme.
- Bioware stated that they want to bring DA to the north.
It's safe to say that next DLCs and expansions would feature southern nations. Thedas seem so safe after The Elder One's defeat, for now.
DO NOT LOOK if you haven't finished the campaign. ![]()

Awakening style DLCs have been confirmed to be not in the works. They don't want to spend that large sum of money on what amounts to a medium sized game to begin with. The DLC will undoubtedly take place in Southern Thedas. As mentioned above, Bioware stated they will be heading north in the next DA title. DA:I is the last game to deal with the south, and the chantry according to Bioware as they feel they've done enough with those settings.

I would love a big haunted castle as DLC. They could set it somewhere in The Fallow Mire.
Of course, a major expansion would be awesome, but I can certainly understand why they would rather invest resources into the next game rather than an expansion.

I would prefer a large style expansion for Inquisition, but chances of that are slim to none sadly. ![]()
I wouldn't mind a DLC that takes place before and leading up to the breach, with the inquisitor though.

Really i'm hoping for set piece story DLC akin to that of DA2, rather than full blown expansion.
Expansions seem to fall into the black hole of neither being timely enough to add to a current game or deep enough to compare with investing in a new game.

I want a dungeon the size of an open region, like Hinterlands or Hissing waste size, but instead of wide, it would just seem like an endless dungeon going deeper and deeper into the darkness fighting undead dragons in their underground lair, running into goblin arenas where you have to fight your way through to prevent Varic's head from being used as a soccer ball and explore ancient buried ruins, run into the heart of a buried volcano and fight demons of an age gone by and....
Well I can dream right? ![]()

I'd love a massive expansion, one that has a big optional dungeon (think Durlag's Tower from BG1 or Watcher's Keep from BG2) - the mage prison of Aeonar, maybe? plus a campaign tying up loose ends like .. Elf/Solas stuff.
Honestly don't think it'll happen though, expansion packs don't seem cost-effective enough. Maybe a nice, lengthy dlc along the lines of ME3's Citadel is more realistic.

I don't really get the distinguishing factor between "expansion" and "really, really big DLC with lots of new stuff.
Sure, I'd like new items, customization, mounts, etc. And of course I'd expect a few big new locals to explore. Somewhere new would new nice (Bioware, please pleasepleaseplease take me to Nevarra).
But what I really want is some goddamn, nug-humping, motherfu*king ANSWERS.
All of Inquisitor's big plot points and revelations had NOTHING AT ALL TO DO with the main plot of the game itself, and that out-of-left-field cliffhanger just left a very bad taste in my mouth.
Don't get me wrong, it was cool and all. I mean, woah, what a revelation. But it was the overlying message of "Whelp, that's all folks, be sure to come back next time to find out what the hell any of this meant!" That's what I have a big problem with.
If it is address, and addressed fully, in DLC or an expansion, then that's ok. Not great, mind you. That's still baiting people and making them pay for DLC to get everything out of the story. But it'd be better than having to wait until the next full Dragon Age installment, which would be bullsh*t.

For me my main DLC Wishes are as followed.
1.) an orlaisian intrigue and political DLC; focused on Val Royaux. We should be able to see the grand cathedral, the capital in its full glory.
2.) Elven/Solas DLC: as this is non spoilery just going to say that we need a dlc for this one ala witch hunt, and especially for a female elf that romanced solas IMO
3.) Kal-Sharok: a dwarven DLC taking us to the isolationist city of Kal-Sharok on the borders between the anderfels and Orlais.

What I would love is story dlc that takes place after the main campaign. It'd be great if they also tied in other maps so that we have more reason to visit them other than the side quests.

Yeah, I hope they follow up on the epilogue in a DLC and not make us wait until the next game. That would be just cruel.

I don't know where you got your information, but most DLC won't be out for awhile as they're on break. I've heard absolutely nothing regarding this statement.

I remember laidlaw saying awhile ago that they'd never do it again because it wasn't worth the cost of making it. But maybe I misunderstood.

I do believe that an Awakening-style expansion has been ruled out, yes. It should be noted that does not mean there will not be Legacy- or Mark of the Assassin-styled DLC. If anything, I say it'll be shocking if they don't provide DLC considering you can play post-game as oppose to being thrown back to before the ending.

I've mentioned this before, but I'd love to see a true city rendered in this engine. Denerim or Val Royeaux or something, built into an area the size of the Hinterlands.

This is something I'd love to see, I'd really like to see the Nevarran Grad Necropolis. Just this huge area, a city for the dead. Pretty please, Bioware?
(I have an unhealthy obsession with Nevarra)
