The Winter Palace
I am surprised. Yes I am. I really liked this map.
I enjoy it so much that I have played it several times. No, not because of the quest and puzzles. Its the atmosphere, the arcitecture, the music, the design, the clothes and the characters.
The Winter Palace offered better and more exiting role playing. Like the way you had to be careful about what you said to whom and when. It lets you get closer to the center of power as you never really do in games.
The map it self is a fantastic piece of work. A palace of grace and elegance. I wonder how much french culture and history the creators had to study? It was exiting to walk these halls.
The crowd guests also felt relatively alive. The atmosphere was created well with the chosen music and ambience. I really had this feeling of being there.
It is a spiritual breathing space away from mountains, caves, plains and deserts. It felt like a vacation.
Celine? Oh yes, Celine...
She was masterfull created. Illustrating her age with the skin arround her mouth was perfect, and yet she was so appealing, beautifull and full of grace. Her accent not to mention.
No, this is definetely one of the best maps in the game.
