I don't want to see it happen, ever, but it's interesting to think about lol

No it is explained by connecting the dots in several quests in different areas. Short version is...

As opposed to the slow, painful, lyrium related death he has now?

It's just another headcanon.

Word of God>you, tbh. Gaider says it's happening, then it's happening. Come to terms with it.

Oh good...a new nightmare inside my head.

As for the lyrium killing Fenris early...Huh. I always wondered if it would make his life longer, in a vein (heh, "vein") similar to how Oghren thinks the lyrium in the mountain helped the guardian of the urn of sacred ashes live for as long as he did.

Wouldn't it be more practical for Danarius to do something that would lengthen the life of a favorite slave, not shorten it?

Ha..."Vein" works in a couple of ways, because of the lyrium veins in the mountain and also the...Nevermind.

You're not familiar with the concept of the Death of the Author, are you?

I am, I just don't care for it. The intention and the meaning the author wants is all that matters to me. My interpretations pales to the author's, especially when speaking in terms of everyone.

Gaider has an account here and you have Google. It's on the wiki somewhere, but if you're not willing to trust that, PM him. I'm sure he'll respond and clarify.

See, all that matters to me is enjoying the work in question. If an author's interpretation, intentions, or statements beyond that lessen my enjoyment of the product, I happily ignore them. If they enhance my enjoyment, I happily embrace them.

Personally, Fenris' future is one I'm neutral on so I don't particularly care either way. But I'm fine with someone considering it nothing more than Gaider's headcanon until it actually shows up as a plot point in game.

There's nothing confirmed on the wiki, nor on DG twitter/tumblr, and you don't have a link, only rumors and speculations, as was expected. Bye.

Someone who obviously googled Fenris' wiki page instead of actually looking at the blogs on the wiki. Am I wrong in the assumption that you didn't PM Gaider, or nah?

If you're referencing to this - http://dragonage.wik...ia_to_a_Fangirl, that's hardly any confirmation. Also, I wasn't the one making claims, so I'm not obliged to bother him for something I hasn't said. Doubt he'd answer anyway.

I just miss Fenris; he's such an interesting character, especially when it comes to decision making.

I don't even want to think of a battling a red Lyrium Fenris. He messed me up big time in the fade.

I'm not too worried. I remember beating him pretty handily on my first playthrough where I couldn't talk him down from siding with Meredith at the Gallows.

That's in no way my personal canon, just saying, he's very beatable.

There is a red lyrium Fenris floating around somewhere.

Yeah I brought him down with careful tactics. But it was just my poor mage Hawke and Varric so he just kept one hit killing us for a while until I got it right.

That'll do it.

For me, warrior Hawke + full party = dead Fenris.

I think this would be a good outcome, don't send him home where he belongs, he turns into a red lyrium monster.

Or killed by me, because I was jealous that his warrior skill tree was better than mine? No innuendo intended.

He's alive in my Hawkemage playthroughs as a rivalmance but since he makes no appearance he kind of might as well be dead lol.

This. I don't think the process of lyrium turning into its red variation is as simple, as coming into a contact with the taint. The Deep Roads are filled with lyrium, yet the ancient thaig was the only source of red lyrium up until DA:I. I'd assume Corypheus had a hand in its conversion.

Feeding it to people generally makes it grow.
