Weakening Enemies sometimes doesn't work?

Hey,

i have a Riftmage build that is focused on weakening enemies.

It is essential that the enemies are weakened so i can continue to spam my dmg spells and regain mana back.

What i observed is that weakening enemies sometimes doesn't work (they don't get the debuff despite beeing hit by an weaking spell). Anyone have observed the same issue?

- it usualy happens in prolonged combats, can it be that there is a cap how many debuffs the monsters can have?

- do some enemies have a hidden weakening resistance that is not shown?

- or is it simply a bug?

Weakened with  Shocked status produce Sleep status.

Such sleep is slumber sleep (Deep Sleep), but it removes effects of both Shocked and Weakened Effects

Rift Mages are famous for generating such combo on constant basis.

Such status could be exploited by further eldritch detonator into nightmare>panic, or wasted by simple attack.

You should watch it and detonate such cases with Eldritch Detonators.

It's a bug, if weakness is applied while it's already active it will cause the mob to be immune to weakness for a period.

I believe the shocked+weakness=sleep is a bug also, since its a combo that doesn't include a disable or a detonator, also it affects non cc mobs. To be honest I try to avoid triggering it as it's overkill but it's hard to do sometimes.

Ok i found the exact reproducibility: Applying weakness while the enemy already have weakness AND is shocked. It will remove weakness (keep the shocked status) and become immune to weakness.

That means: No chain lightning for weakness based builds. (no armor that triggers chain lightning aswell)
