If you want to punish the Wardens, you can do the Skyhold missions so that at the end they are all dead. Dead wardens, with alive villagers= win/win.

I'm not getting the wardens killed over some dumb action their commander did.

Besides the last thing I want is the death of Nathaniel and Oghren on my hands because of the action of those dumb wardens who thought mass murdering their own members for a Demon Army was a good idea.

When you recuit the Southern Wardens you are literally recuiting all of them both Orlais and Ferelden Wardens which mean Oghren and Nathaniel are among their members.

On that note:

I would laugh hard if banishing the Wardens would mean the death of Oghren and Nethaniel in a future DA storyline. Sad but still laugh because people didn't notice the choice affected both Orlais and Ferelden Wardens.

1st playthrough - Having Leliana turn into a lunatic cos I told her to kill the chantry sister.

2nd playthrough - Calling Cole a demon and sending him away. That one hurts.

none for me, i love DA:I but i did found it lacking in those type of decisions. i mean for most you know the good and bad outcome to it and then there are the few where you have to pick between two justifiable sides.

When I started a romance with Josephine by mistake and I broke up with her.  The expression on her face just... well, I deleted that game... so it didn't happen.

Picking either the mages or Templars. There are good people being left to a horrific fate no matter what you do.

Also, the Iron Bull personal quest. There is just no right answer...

Nope. None of the decisions had the buildup necessary for me to care.

exactly the same... Back in DA:O, choices could lead me to some careful thinking, but in DA:I I just faceroll everyone of them cause I just don't care about the bad story telling and build up of each choices...

Its too bad that Blackwall aka Fake Warden, couldn't stay in the fade, if taken on the quest, instead of Stroud/Loghain/Alistair or Hawke.

I headcanon that he did. There is really no reason why in that moment, you couldn't have asked someone else to step up. I actually don't know Blackwall very well so maybe he'd have chickened out.

I felt guilty for encouraging Jana to join the Wardens, too. I felt bad that I hadn't thought that one out very well.

For all that I felt guilty, I liked it, because yes, a choice actually mattered.

And I did choose to accept my failure and not redo the entire game over it :P  Not because Jana wasn't important enough for a redo, but because dealing with consequences positive and negative is part of the fun of the game for me.

They just evaluate 'matter' differently. As if subtotals were the bottom line.

I'm going to feel guilty about leaving Hawke in the Fade this time round (2nd playthrough).

But this playthrough I'm using my "Paragon" World State, where my hero's, given the chance, will sacrifice themselves to save everyone else. Warden gave his life to the Archdemon, so its Hawke's turn to sacrifice this time round. Thankfully, this Hawke isn't leaving a loved one behind, and in my canon state, I kicked Stroud to the curb and made him stay so Hawke could survive!

Not really. I imagine the Straud/Hawke choice is a tough one for those who played the second game, but I never did.

Felt guilty about the chantry sister getting killed by princess stabby stab of the stab kingdom all because I remained silent instead of preventing butler from being killed and dealing with the Tevintor aligning mages instead of saving the Templars from the envy demon turning them all into Red Templars.

I did when I left Alistair in the fade. I had this horrible feeling leaving the Warden's without a leader would bite me in the butt at the end of the game. Then I went on the forums and read that whoever you leave in the fade literally affects almost nothing in the overall story. So Alistair remains in the fade.

I had a similar experience with the Dreadnaught vs Chargers decision. By that time I was so sure that having the Qun as allies would affect literally nothing that I couldn't justify sacrificing the Chargers for it.

This was the only BioWare game where i almost always was sure of my choices, and i dont know if thats a good thing or a bad thing. Cole though, i dont know if what i did to him was a good thing, or if he's just not himself anymore...

I sent her to the Wardens as well. Got so angry when Clarell killed her I cussed out the Xbox...

And Hawke/Loghain... So wanted to keep Hawke. But the "it's my fault, let me make up for it" argument combined with the need for some one I trusted (yes, I totally see the irony) outside the Fade to help the Wardens against Cory's damned whispering in their heads won. Loghain still lives. Damned man won't die, it seems, when I do a play through. Kept him alive in Origins once Alistair threw his little tantrum at the Landsmeet. Why, Maker? Why do you do his to me?

I must add that they don´t have either the buildup or the consequences.

As the title says. Because I just had one of those moments, while at Adamant. While in Crestwood I ran into Jana, an elf who wants to join the wardens. I didnt really give it much thought, thought well if thats what she wants, she should go for it.
Just did Adamant and Clarell slices Janas throat for the ritual. I just sat there like... well, ****. This was basically my fault. I got so pissed off by that one outcome I banished the wardens, when I had originally been planning to save them.

Poor Jana :(

Also I didnt realize until now she could be an agent, I didnt have the right party for the option to appear.

Le sigh.

Has anyone else had an "Oh s***, that was totally my fault" moment?

Who do you need with you to make her an agent?

I did not send Jana to the Wardens because I'd already had that 'Wardens Acting Weird' vibe/convo from Hawke/Leliana/Blackwall. 'Now is really not the best time to join the Wardens. Sorry about that. (not really, you'll thank me later).' The one time I didn't actually have an option where she agreed she wouldn't join them afterward, I still didn't pick the 'Sure, do whatever' option so it was that same poor senior warden (which really irritates me anyways because come on, Clarel! You honestly aren't even thinking at this point, are you?).

I felt poorly that I accidentally got Ser Barris killed in 'Champions of the Just' my first time through. I regretted his death at the time and suspected it was optional, but actually having that confirmed made it worse. I also regret that choosing to rescue the Templars puts Felix in a bad spot--as does not even going to Redcliffe. Yes, he's dying anyways, but I want him to have that moment with Alexius.

I did not feel badly about rejecting the Qunari alliance by saving the Chargers, but I did feel for the Iron Bull. I feel like the decision to become Tal-Vashoth isn't even in his hands...and it should be. Did he technically give the Inquisitor command of the Chargers? Yes, but they're still his men. He should get the final say. But that's my opinion, and I'm not interested in evilly moustache-twirling dictatorship Inquisition where it's the Inquisitor's way or you can hit the road. xD

Hawke staying in the Fade, sacrificing himself for the rest of the team, is just such a good, truly in-character moment for my canon Hawke that it was a beautiful story moment for me. The Hawke paired with Loghain? Also in-character for him. The Hawke paired with Alistair...not so much, unfortunately.

While I think Cole as a spirit is more to Cole's liking...It's still so sad if you have certain conversations in a certain order and he can't handle remembering the 'real Cole.' 'Forget.' "...Cole?" 'You can still use that name if you like.'

But the worst moment for me, by far, was when my Pro-Circle/Pro-Chantry/Pro-Templar!Mage!Male!Trevelyan told Cullen he just needed to suck it up and take his lyrium. Even he sort of came to regret that. And it kept coming up. It was just terrible. A part of me loved it because it was a good story, but it wasn't at all what Cullen wanted and I knew that going in. But that Trevelyan just didn't understand why Cullen was trying to force a blind spot where his duty was concerned--at least, not at first.

I sided with the templars in my second playthrough. I was feeling good about my choice until Fiona appeared in Denam's place. After talking to her in my first game and knowing what I know about her, I felt so awful for not saving her. But then again, I can't save both her and Barris.

The Chargers was another guilt-laden moment. I didn't call for a retreat, and Bull's face after the mission just made me die a little inside. I felt like a terrible person for choosing an Alliance over his group, even though strategically, it was the wisest option.

I made the same "mistake". I don't care about the outcome but the mage quest with Alexius is simply so so so much better.
