Where are the ferelden grey wardens? I know thy aren't at adament, because Oghren would have jumped from the battlements and chased the inquisition back to skyhold, battered down the gates, bedded Harding and skewered the inquisitor with his manhood.
They could be with the hero of ferelden on his quest, but as alistair doesn't know where he is I doubt it.

Maybe they were off in the Deep Roads.

The darkspawn were still fairly active in Ferelden.

The notes from the Wardens on the Storm Coast sort of imply they were heading to the Western Approach, but I don't know if the same goes for all of Ferelden's Wardens.

Man, this needs some explanation. Were they at Adamant? Are they investigating the Primeval Thaig? Are they in Weisshaupt? Did they go with the Hero of Ferelden to find a cure for the Taint?

It's just one of those things the writing team didn't want to answer for whatever reason and they really should have. Either they're being saved for a DLC/expansion like deal or "Awakening never happened".

DLC and expansion is my bet. There just to great characters not to take advantage of them especially because we have Oghren.

Sigrun and Velanna are still missing from the Keep so I won't be getting my hopes up.

That actually should get your hopes up because they will be Wardens no matter your choices or they ignore your choices because they might have made them important for a expansion or a dlc.

In the epilouge of DAA

Velanna has disappeared in the deep roads,

In my opinion i think that oghren, nathaniel and sigrun joined the warden on his quest. Depending of the choices of course.

Valanna was considered for Anders' roll.  I'm curious as to how that would have altered the timeline.  Given that elves take the qun pretty quickly, she may also be hanging around Tevinter trying to recruit lost elves to the wardens, which she would see as keeping their culture and becoming a part of something greater.  As the above poster mentions, she could also be the warden's liaison with the awakened.

I suspect that a future game is going to focus on dwarves the way this one did elves, given their lore, that something is going on in Orzamaar the inquisitor was not privy to, intelligent, talking darkspawn...Sigrun could very well be Utha's interpreter/liaison with the awakened.

It's been about 10 years since the events of DA:A. The HOF should have more Wardens than just those recruited during the events of Awakening. Oghren, Sigrun, and Nathaniel should all be senior Wardens in the Ferelden chapter by that point, and probably with their own Wardens that they have recruited.

I very much agree with this, but it doesn't explain where they are/what they're doing. If they were at Adamant (which would suck) then fine. Say so. But eternal limbo kind of sucks.

Hence why I think they might be with the Warden on his/her little quest. I doubt they'd venture off like that by themselves, and the Awakening crew is probably his/her most trusted 'inner circle' among the Ferelden Wardens by now.

I'm gonna go ahead and headcanon they're with her, anyway. Nobody other than Nathaniel and Oghren have Keep tiles, so meh.

If it wasn't for that whole "not being mentioned by anyone, ever" thing, I'd almost guess that when everyone started hearing the calling at once, it occurred to them that something was wrong, and instead of going "WHHEEE!  Demons!" they went looking for a solution.

Anders became a Warden regardless if you didn't conscript him or he was killed. Retconning!

They were probably at Adamant seeing as they would still be stationed around Amaranthine, correct? I would assume they were on their way to Adamant along with the rest of the Wardens because I doubt many, if any of them became a high enough rank within the Wardens to refuse the command, or issue their own, and I doubt they were with the Hero of Fereldan simply because that seems like a one man mission. I wish they had touched upon this. It would have made a lot more sense to see them before, alongside Loghain, Alistair or Stroud, or during Adamant. Or even a build-up. Finding Wardens who disagree with Warden Whatshername's plan.

Well, the Warden was already looking before the false Calling, but yeah...I'm hoping someone other than Stroud/Loghain/Alistair figured that perhaps this is fishy. :S

It just seems weird to me that they'd all start hearing the calling once and think that all of them had reached the end of the road, at once, even the new recruits, which had never happened before in the history of the wardens, to my knowledge, and not think that was odd.  Or the shady magister peddling demons was an interesting coincidence.

I almost wonder if the calling doesn't addle brains, or whatever was being investigated in Last Flight and the silence in Weisshaupt didn't have something to do with a mass leave of senses.

Because they must have got a mediocre writer to write up the plot.

Fear is a great motivator. I'm just pissed Clarel and the Orlesian Wardens didn't see past Erimond's nefarious cackling. That guy might as well have villain tatted on his forehead.

There's that, too.  One would think a Tevinter mage showing up and saying summoning and binding demons will solve all your problems would be a bit of a red flag.  It would also seem to me that the best thing to do would be to divide into groups.

You guys, go figure out why this is happening and how to stop it.

You guys, find out if it's happening to new recruits, too.  If not, start recruiting like the archedemon is standing in the doorway.

You guys, go kill as many darkspawn as possible before there's no one left to fight them.

See also Fiona and the Rebel Mages.

Seems like Venatori are all about using fear to undermine their enemies and Red Templars are all about using Red Lyrium to corrupt everything.

Well, with the Rebel mages Fiona was just the right amount of stupid and Alexius just the right amount of affable. The Inquisitor or Vivienne might not have fallen for it, but I wouldn't say 'every mage' would have dismissed Alexius off hand without at least thinking about his offer.
