I think I speak for most everyone when I say the little reference picture for astrarium puzzles is a touch on the small side. A lot of the time, I have to restart a puzzle because I couldn't see where certain points were supposed to connect, and, sometimes, it gives me a headache trying to see them. If there is any way you could enlarge it, I would greatly appreciate it.

Is this a console issue? I've never had problems with this on PC.

More contrast between the reference and the back ground would also be nice,

It's not an issue on PC, although I have to say that the puzzle itself is often too large to fit onto the screen completely and you have to drag it around.
If there's an issue on consoles (perhaps because you are playing on huge TVs?) then that needs to be adressed.

Wasn't an issue for me on PS4. Why would this be more of a console issue than a PC issue? (Or are we just talking set-up - monitor/KB vs. TV/controller - because I play PC games on my couch, too.) The PC version - just got recently and have played both now - doesn't seem to have difference on this than the PS4 (the better framerate and slightly sharper resolution doesn't exactly help with the puzzle screen).

Could be a screen resolution issue?

I've never had a problem with it on PS4 - everything is easy and clear to work out. Only mistakes I've made have been accidentally clicking the wrong star by trying to complete the puzzle as fast as possible.
I don't see why you shouldn't add an option to enlarge it, however, if some posters think it's an issue.

All right, I'm not insulting the bastard race am I? I am posting a legitimate issue that I am having with my game. If you want to try a go on about how you can spend an exorbitant amount of money on a pc for gaming, go elsewhere to do it.

Apparently it is. I am not sitting close to my screen as pc and some console gamers do. Regardless, if this issue could be addressed with an optional download or a feature with a command for a po-up enlargement, or whatever, I am certain I would not be the only to benefit.

This wasn't a problem for me either. My only complaint about the Astrariums is that how they work wasn't explained anywhere prior to the first time encountering one. I didn't realize I could drag the screen around to see more stars until I came here and read about it on the forum. That's just ridiculous. The pamphlet "manual" for this game sucks ass. However, once I realized how they work, then completing them has been easy. The idea behind them is awesome, and I'm glad they're in the game. It's just that they, along with everything else in the game, should have been documented better in a proper instruction manual.
Hint for developers: the in-game codex is not an acceptable replacement for a proper instruction manual. Thanks!

I wasn't aware they needed much in the way of instruction. I always try to drag around to see if there's more when I do play on pc. Either way, I agree. Used to be games came with paperbacks. Now they come with digital manuals and the like. I preferred the paperbacks as I didn't have to be at the game's main menu or go to some website for it.

When did this start happening? I remember when I was a younger kid and I filled up the backs of the notes section... Then regretting it later because I had scribbles all over my otherwise pristine manual...

Thanks for that tidbit of information that provides nothing useful to the point I made, and really amounts to nothing but you patting yourself on the back.
I can't recall encountering a mini-game puzzle, ever (I'm 46 so that's saying something - been gaming since I was 14 with Infocom's Zork 1), where the entire puzzle wasn't designed to be displayed on the screen in it's entirety without any intervention from me. If I have, then it was all properly documented, so I went into the puzzle knowing it may be necessary. In this case, the situation was made more annoying given the fact that the first two I did were displayed without me having to drag the screen around. Furthermore, it isn't obvious with the PC control scheme that you CAN drag the screen around, or that it's even necessary.
Therefore I wasted an inordinate amount of my time trying to figure out why I couldn't solve the third one I tried when it appeared, by the information I was given on the screen, and how I thought I understood the way it all worked, that it should be solved. I don't appreciate it when my time is wasted, especially when, in this case, it could have been avoided if the game had came with proper documentation! That's all I'm saying.

This could also be an issue for people who have visibility/accessibility issues as well. It can go beyond the platform itself. The UI in general is too small (especially the text) on the console (I've also heard PC players complain about text size), and the Astrariums are no different. Sometimes I have to guess if certain points are linked or not, particularly the ones that are close together, where the vertices outshine their connecting line.

Bigger would help. it would also have been nice if they had let you back up one step rather than restarting the entire bloody thing when you screw up. The problem I had wasn't the grid being too small, it was that on console the game is constantly "auto-locking" to the wrong node, which causes me to screw up when I'm trying to put the puzzle together quickly.

Speaking as someone who does actually spend most of the time gaming on the PC, I admit to being frustrated by the joke as well. Whenever anyone mentions it, even in jest, I'm reminded of how much these kinds of people who say PC MASTER RACE and mean it make me ashamed to call myself a PC gamer.
