Does anyone play DAI-MP over Hughes or Exede satellite ISPs?  I have played a few games, but unlike ME3MP, most of the time the lag makes connection impossible to even connect, even if one is able/willing to accept a 1500-2000 millisec lag when playing.

Satellite ISP is very poor for twitch games, I know, but when you like in the wooded rolling hills away from concrete and glass a quarter mile off the road, you don't have many choices other than satellite.

Played hudreds and hundreds of hours of ME3MP over my Exede satellite ISP, and despite bad, bad, bad lag, had fun playing even though what I was seeing was something that may have happened 1-2 seconds before.  Obviously had to play mainly on Brz and Ag.

I used to work for dish, gaming with a satellite connection Is a terrible idea. You know most providers only give you X bandwith then your speed drops? Not to mention those hughes dishes are a pain in the butt to tune in and go out of tune very easily.

It is possible to play solo lobbies though. Your grind will take longer but youll be fine..if you host you shouldn't see lag.

A few of us poor souls who only had satellite internet played ME3MP,  I think this game may be impossible to play in the present state.

Playing MP mode as a SP takes out some, if not most, of the fun.  Try playing solo with a Level 1 Reaver and see how far you go.

I'm going to be very, very honest here.

*I don't think anybody, Bioware included, is worried about optimizing for satellite internet.*

Okay then, that's the last straw.

Bioware just lost all the satellite ISP players - all 3 of us!!!

It's not a Bioware thing. Satellite dishes have very very high latency, meaning that any game (or other program) that requires your computer to upload information goes incredibly slow. Multiplayer games are like that, as your computer has to communicate with whoever the host is. Information goes back and forth. This doesn't normally come up as an issue because latency doesn't affect download rates, giving the impression that satellite internet can be fast and reliable. And it can be for stuff like videos or streams. Trying to upload videos, stream games yourself, or play online though, and latency will block you every time.
