So I've completed the game and I've yet to find any decent looking helmets outside of the Venatori helmet (but I don't like wearing the armour of my sworn enemies). I was wondering if anyone had any luck finding good looking helmets like the Orlesian helmet or maybe the helmets the heavy Inquisition troops wear. If you have could you post them and/or how you found them so others might be able to protect their heads in style?

Hmm...  I know I have the Orlesian helmet schematic - not entirely sure where I got it though. :\  My recommendation would be to check the merchants at Val Royeaux (sp?), the Keep in Emprise Du Lion, the Dwarf in Redcliffe Village and the dog merchant at the Hissing Wastes.  I believe those are the ones I've found helmet schematics at.

 

Also, getting the "Short List" perk helps with this all.

Yeah, just got that perk and things seem to be opening up a bit. Guess I'll just have to keep praying to RNGsus. Thanks for the advice

I got the superior orlesian helm, t3 schematic, as a random chest loot during a chest run in Cradle of Sulevin.

yea Orlesian Helm is random T3 from either EDL or Cradle of Sulevin most likely..I got mine at lvl 14 in EDL..wore it all the way up till I got Helm of the Inquisitor, now I rock them alternating..sometimes the Duke's Mane also..that one is dropped from the final dragon in EDL

The orlesian helm is the full plate face with the feathers in the back right? I have that one on Cass I think it looks better on females. My fav helm is the dwarven one you get early, it's not the best stat wise but with dragon bone it's functional and nice looking.

yeah it has the feathers in the back..love how they change with color you craft with...the Carta helm? I like that one too but for some reason the strap on the chin kinda bugs me...I have that schematic though...

I know there IS a templar helmet, but I haven't found a schematic, it looks pretty cool. 

 

Still, for ultimate class, it's the winged Warden helmet, the drop of the schematic seems sort of random, but it's pretty cool-looking and sturdy to boot.

I can't remember the name of it (sorry) but I got a really nice Elven Mage Tier 3 one in one run through.

The templar helmet itself can be found early game..I wore it for a long time before i got anything better..but IMO there are better options..and I agree I do love the Warden Helm..and you can buy that schematic in Val Roy!

I've found a Templar schematic, but I forgot where.

 

The best luck I've had is getting the Inquisitor helm schematic BEFORE lvl 10. It was at the Shard mission, in the fire room. I had enough shards to get in the 2nd room early. You can get battlemaster/prowler and other stuff before your level there.

I'm so jealous of you haha..my next playthru I will farm T2's to get that schematic early!

Oh yeah don't worry I'm a pro at farming haha..just started in EDL later when I first found out as all this stuff was being discovered...I've gotten probably most of the T3 stuff..except Superior Vanguard Armor for Warrior..the only other kind I'd want.>i have the sturdy version..

Not the carta helm, this one is t2 closed face with a fin running down the center.

Yeah no prob haha..well people at first when I was searching forums were calling it chest scumming but I never heard of that before we always used farming haha...so to each their own.

Yeah also, the dragon age wiki is EMPTY so far..I mean I know it's been a month since the game has been out, but dude Elder Scrolls wiki was constantly filled with stuff and updating..there is nothing on there for inquisition..kind of infuriating...

It's armor rating is only 28 but I'm putting down so much dps with my dual wield rouge it doesn't matter, no one hits me anyway except dragons they're always busy with Cass.
