Once they make an in-game character creator, I will revamp to make her a Skyrim-inspired Wood Elf. However, I'm too far into the game to delete her, and I can't stand the idea of playing the prologue again.
I will share my Elf 
She was the first one I made and ofc she had her flaws (shiny lips... *facepalm*), but I felt in love with my first Inquisitor when I saw her badass like that:
Besides later I found out that she looked like "Oh, pretty flowers!" in some lightening and is some more like "Mhuahahahaha! You've messed with the wrong elf!":
And the ball costume suited her 
And she did some awesome stupid faces too
Callaia. I'm quite pleased with how she turned out. Love the dark skin/green eyes combo. 
Solas was doomed from the start. 
If I had to do her over again, I might fix her brow, which looks a bit heavy from certain angles, but 90% of the time she looks perfect.
Made one with mods everything but the tattoo are my own mods
I made an Elf for my 2nd playthrough! (Several times, actually...But now I am finally happy with the result.)

Here's my Nienna. She actually looks better in game than in CC but I forgot to take snaps outside. I was distracted by the game. Also, my laptop is a crappy one so the graphics aren't as good.

Here's mine. Usually I suck so bad at creating a character so I'm quite pleased how she turned out. 
Here is Cembrye, Dalish Keeper's Apprentice, still on my first play-through, I ended up spending ages creating and discarding characters since what you think you made and what you see in game don't always match.
I just made my first elf today actually. Im... actually kind of creeped out at how adorable i think she is.
Im sure others can do better, but this is possibly the best looking character i have ever made, in any game, ever.

Holy moly! So my first character was a human mage and I only spent a few minutes creating her before I totally fell in love with her look. I'm trying for an elf this time and I say trying because so far none of them have turned out and had to be slain *lol* I had no idea it could be so hard...I also have no idea what makes creating a decent elf so challenging! This topic is great though and I'm happy to hear I'm not alone with being elfishly challenged.

It seems to me that the trick is not to change too much from the presets. Find a preset face you like as a base, then make improvements. Bioware already did the hard part of making something that looks human. You job is just to bring out her "elf-y" features. The ears, the nose, the chin, the lips, and so forth.

Funny, I find making a pretty human female to be challanging... Give me 5 minutes and I can whoop up a pretty elf... Takes me forever to make something even remotely decent with a human, and I usually never get past the first conversation before I want to kill her and try again =P

Lehna, she's a beaut!! I hear you on indecisive though. Last night I made a wild looking Dalish, with a half face tattoo and the longer hair that's shaved down on the side in a pale blonde. And now after seeing everyone else's, I'm thinking a refined looking Dalish might be the way to go? With darker hair? So I'll be heading home and scrapping what I came up with *lol*

Haha, I totally understand! You could fool around in CC for a few hours and trying different styles before you decide? 
My first Inquisitor...she is so....(wild?) elfy? She reminds me abit of Jaheira from BG2 but also of ---->
I always go with second face preset
