Another question: I've seen shots of characters wearing Dalish armour during the prologue. How can I do that?
You can do that only with CheatEngine. Here's where you can download it, and here's a little help how it works. ![]()
I finally reached Skyhold (again...) and just wanted to share a few screenshots.
She's Ashah'vin, soon to be necromancer, (I always wanted to try that spec out!) and I created her thanks to the inspiration of stop_him's snow elf and Lazy Lunatic's tips about the face shape. She's the final version of my concept art elf recreation attempt which I posted in this thread previously.
Hope I'm not spamming too much with screenshots, but this is the last, I swear!
Forgot to say this, but I for one love to see screenshots for everyone, so keep them coming!
She looks like teenager... again.
Why do my characters always look like teenagers? Well, at least she is a cute teenager, I think. ))Ae'nir Lavellan.
I think she's pretty, reminds me of one of my friends.
(Maybe trying to make the eyes a bit smaller?)
An elf who has at least made it into her professional 30's?
Amazing! I believe you're moving in the right direction. I still feel sthing's off, I can't quite point my finger on it though...

Also, at first I wasn't entirely sold on the dalish PJ retextures (mainly because of the colors) but my opinion instantly changed when I saw how awesome it looks with the light armor. (I want those chain mail legs for my rogues!)

The only things I still miss are the long hair mods and a dress for a certain event... *sigh* I can dream, right?
[Edit] Now I'm just tormenting myself here.

How do you get that face? I followed your instructions to the letter but it just isn't the same. ![]()

Ok, she ROCKS that Dalish armor pj's. I couldn't get into it for mine mostly because it felt, in Sera's words, "too elfy". It looks great underneath some armors, but terrible under others (since I'm running that mod that removes armor restrictions and use a lot of heavy armor. I felt it's reasonable for a knight enchanter!)
Thanks for the screenshot encouragement! I'll dig up some more and post them later then. Also, What IS this gorgeousness you've drawn? Halamshiral dresses?
One day I'm going to finish a nightmare PT and get that platinum over and done with.....instead of creating characters and taking screenshots >_<

sorry, i don't know how to put my photos in a single post, but hope you like my elf

How do you get that face? I followed your instructions to the letter but it just isn't the same.
What instructions?
I used Face #4 and face shape #3 if that helps. (It looks horrible but it has the general features I could work with.) I moved every slider though, I recommend experimenting with it, even trying out the extremities.
Bring the cheekbones up. Make the cheek area generally thinner.
Eye shape #2. Eyes are the most important features in my book. Always adjust the cheek shape to them. Bring them down, make them small and bring down the eye rotation&spacing almost to the right corner.
Nose shape #6. Make it generally bigger, bring it down, bring the nose bridge size slider almost to the upper right corner, bring out the nose bridge, move down the nose tip and work on the slightly curvy look.
Mouth shape #1, make it thinner.
Bring the chin down and make it extremely thin. I adjusted the jawline to my liking (that's a tricky slider, make sure to check from every possible angle!) and made the jaw a bit wider.
I had this picture before me the entire time:

Thank you! ^^ Yeah, that was exactly my reason just the other way around.
She's so the classic elf type, (a hardcore dalish
) that the other dress didn't suit her at all! (Although I use the green version with my other elf. But she has a rather modern vibe with her short, light blond hair.)
I wanted to use the rogue armors, but then I saw those chain mails. haha I love them so much. xD
Yup, I've got "a few" design ideas since day one. A beautiful ball gown, appropriate for the event, (it's of course have to be of Orlesian design) but you could still move/climb/spy/fight in it. If Vivienne can wear boots and leggings so can we.
(I absolutely love Vivienne's dresses, I like to take inspirations from them.)
And a halla themed mask for our elves! (It would work so damn great with Ashah's white hair!
)
(Oh, and there's also Ashah'vin's "portrait", I sketched it while I was still working on her face in the CC... )
Sheela the mage (yes I know, I am playing a mage again) ![]()

Gosh, I love Vivienne's alternate outfits, especially the medium armor ones!
Your designs are too sexy :3 Here's hoping modders soon crack that code and manage to incorporate these designs! And ESPECIALLY long hair, even if I know it's not "practical" on the battlefield. It'd be nice if hair changed in some scenes! Why /wouldn't/ the Inquisitor let her hair down back in Skyhold?
That said, a few more screenshots to show off *cough* inspire you all! Someone should really compile a guide from everyone's sliders to making the perfect elf!

Sorry, I should have clarified. I used these instructions for a first approximation:
Thanks for the tips! I'm giving it a shot but damn it's tough. I'm not particularly thrilled about the nose so far. Would it have been too much to ask for more presets or at least sticking to codes like Mass Effect?
I'll try and post some screenshots of my experiments later. Cheers! ![]()

Ah, then no wonder she ended up different, that's an entirely different slider set.
The nose was the hardest for me too. Took 4(?) versions to get it right.

Thank you. I think I spend more time in CC than in-game now. I just enjoy making all kinds of faces--mostly elves. I agree she needs some more work. I'm not going for beauty, but I am going for a more mature look, and when it doesn't match up when I have in mind, the character gets the axe.
I attempted a girl-next-doorQuisitor / normQuisitor last night:

I'm just glad there are plenty of threads were people can dump photos of their creations! ![]()

Well done! You did a very nice job on her ![]()
Mithra Lavellan, I had the urgent need to got this darn hairstyle to work. Its probably the most hated in the whole CC
Nice job, I think that hair looks better in-game than in CC. I used it for my creepQuisitor.
Does the PC version have better outfit options I feel like I never saw half of the amors being worn?
▼ Oh figures. Thats what I get for buying an Xbone.

They are modded, so PC only

Thank you! She's my favorite creation. ^^

Ok, while a lot of Inquisitor's I've seen around here are gorgeous, this is the definition of badass! Great color combinations here - but I gotta ask, I don't recognize the tattoos! Are those modded as well? I've seen the outfit floating around but never got around to using it myself.
Final design repost from other thread. I'm going to do the Solasmance this time, I swear. Unfortunately I seem to find him way more interesting than my elves do. I wanna play a different race now, dangit, lol.

Diamond Rose
I'm pretty happy with her, shes not too perfect and not too rough
