Made this elf today:

Not sure if I'm going to play her yet. I like the all-white thing that's going on, but on the other hand, maybe it's a bit too much.

I Quite like the bright "Etheral" look on elfs
- My Mage Jilona has that thing going on aswell ![]()

Now that i think of it, i havent played Jilona anything at all since i upgraded my graphic card...hmm maybe ill take her for a play tonight! ![]()
I like that look as well, but I also like the natural look (brown hair, tanned skin, green eyes), like what I have for my rogue archer:

But that seems a more fitting look for a rogue. The 'ethereal' look is maybe more fitting for mages. Argh, why can't I make up my mind?!
Play em both!
Btw your Rogue i really like, shes go a nice face to her! And iam a sucker for green eyes! ![]()
I have 4 IQ's am playing atm... Hehe ![]()
Altho, my Warrior is one of my favorite! But i prefer playing Mage o Archer ![]()

As soon as i get access to my sliders for Jabaria, i might make her into a mage with diff "colors" to her! ![]()
Such a beautiful elven ladies you all have here. ![]()
I haven't posted any pics yet because I was waiting for the BE but I got so tired of waiting and decided to try redo my original, main Lavellan. It took three tries to finally get her right and looking like the original, minus the things I needed to fix. Sadly I couldn't use the braided updo due to ear clipping but until we get better hair, this one will do just fine. Aideen is Cullen's girl, sweet and gentle - a true lioness when needed - but with great sense of humour.

Those eyes ![]()
I finally settled on my lady Elf.

Her ears are huge! But otherwise her hair clipped. I like her big ears though, it's cute
I'm happy with her, let's see if I can make it past the Hinterlands with this one.

Thanks. I'm sucker for green eyes. ![]()
Your elf lady is beautiful and even though I'm not a fan of big elf ears, those are really adorable. Also, you make that hair work wonderfully. I tried it a few times but it completely refused to work for me for some reason. ![]()
*unlurks*
Elven female seems to be the only thing I can make in this game (I have 3!)
For some reason I just can't make a human that I'm happy with. I've seen some great human inquisitors, but for me at least they all come out looking really generic.
This is my current baby - and I was pleasantly surprised to see not one but two other Inqis using the same hairstyle on this page! Weird mullet thing ftw! I don't think I see it used too often :)
This is Aena Lavellan, storm mage, knight enchanter

And super dramatic battle shot

I haven't upgraded yet. Someone showed me how to run Patch 5 and Patch 6 by renaming folders and whatnot. I will need to try that once I get to the DLC point with a vanilla character. I can play my modded characters (without the DLC) on patch 5, and have at least one character to run Patch 6 and the DLC.
Did you actually try that "renaming folders" tactic yet? ![]()
Would been nice to know if it works! ![]()
It does not work @Mintsong. I swap the DLC out and the modded Patch folder in - which works perfect. So I can play the DLC with my more or less unmodded characters and then go back to my modded versions.
I'm back with my new and now official inquisitor, Haldaraina, or as I like to call Feraentia 2.0, as she's heavily based on my first one but with some improvements made, mainly different hair, darker skin and complexion, and facial adjustments. I may be a little pleased with how she came out. Starting with the obligatory looking up shot.

How do you come around doing this more in details?
Not really in a rush to get into DLC etc - But if the coders wont get it working with mods when Emporium comes into game id love to use this tactic to be able to get sliders for 3 of my chars that ive promised ppl
Also, wouldnt mind having them sliders myself. I really need to stop making my Iq's late during night, cause i tend to forget save sliders when ive worked on a char for some hours

But anyway, if its a easy workaround - it would be nice to have it going on!
I think i understood it, but just to make sure...
Elves are superior for many reasons, not just face shape. I don't mean to imply that elven superiority is an objective truth. People obviously feel different, as human is still the most popular race to play. "Elves are superior," is my own personal opinion, one that I make many times obviously.
I've spotted 2 female human inquisitors that I would at least deem unique. Example (the redhead) from LostinReverie19 below:
http://forum.bioware...its/?p=18709729
This inquisitor has always stood out to me as one of the most unique Trevelyans. Part of the problem is likely that most gamers want their female Trevs to be beautiful by Western standards, which means a very specific kind of face shape and make-up pattern. Users who deviate from this formula create unique, actual human-looking inquisitors. There's another user who made an older Trev a while back named "Teresa." I liked that one too.
There's nothing more I can say without the human folk gathering all their torches and pitchforks, so I'll leave it at that.
Yeah, I strongly disagree with your opinion. Absolutely everything you say is wrong to me, except maybe when you claim that elves are less likely to be generic, ( though, I have seen many generic elves ) . << Part of the problem is that most gamers want their female Trevs to be beautiful by " western standards " ? >> you said.
What does that even mean ? How about they just want their character to be attractive according to them, ( there is absolutely nothing wrong with that ) according to what they like, which could be anything and different from anyone else and its tastes ? I am pretty sure that when I create characters, If I want them to be attractive TO ME, I don't follow any concept created by those " western standards " ( don't even know what that is supposed to be ), I just follow what I would like, ( which could be anything, and could be totally different between each playthrough ) It could be simply the same for many ? A female character with " long hair " for example can be appreciated by anyone in the world, this isn't specific to a specific zone of the world.
If a preset face is for example more popular, it might not be because it fits more to some " western standards " but maybe because it is simply seen or considered individually as the most attractive or interesting ?
Also why the " western standards " ony apply to humans ? Makeup, hair pattern, for example can be applied to any race. I don't follow at all. Many want their female Lavellan to be beautiful too, exactly like those who create their Trev.
You are entitled to your opinion, so zero issues for me, I personally think that it's only when folks are going to be judgemental about what others " like " that some might gather all their torches and pitchforks.
This is a thread about elves however, so I'll stop right there.
@Mintsong I had the clean vanilla patch the patch6 and the Patch ( modded merged one ) in my folder. So I did download the DLC and took out the modded patch - renamed Patch6 to Patch and played the DLC.
After that I swapped the DLC out ( to desktop , remaned Patch to Patch6 again and swapped the modded Patch in. Worked smoothly ![]()
@LadyAly Oki so i did understand it correct!
Might give it a go later on!
Thanks!
Nice job on using that hairstyle!
Also this vallaslin is growing on me.. might have to use on future elf!
I did a similar look with my last elf, bravo. The mullet gives an interesting look.

Yes, please do. You completely miss my point.

Think i remember that elf actually
I kinda like the hairstyles that are bit more uncommon, its a challange to make em work.
@LadyAly Yey! It did work, now i dont have to force launcher offline anymore :-) Awesome stuff. My Dai Folder is starting to look like a patch farm tho! *giggle* ![]()
Edit: It did however make my SRWE not working as it should, is this a tool your using when u take Screenshots?

Other folks are having issues with SRWE that have rolled back from Patch 6:
http://forum.bioware...eenshots/page-3
I wonder if it's the rollback that is causing the issue, or Patch 6 in general? Glad I haven't touched mine!
On related issue (though not with DA:I but still connected) I'm having the same problem with SRWE and Skyrim. I just started to play Skyrim again and have never used SRWE with it before. I thought the process would be the same but I can't get it to work for the life of me.

My guess is that patch 6 is the one that messed it up. Cause my SRWE aint working with Patch 6 OR Rolledback patch5(modded).
Was thinking about reinstalling game, but that wont help me much since i will automatic get patch 6 when i download it thru Origin Launcher i suppose :/
Its quite frustrating issue, i would NOT patch untill you know it works.
I regret now i did patch/rollback
Ohwell, more ppl with same issue, maybe it will get fixed!
I actually never did Skyrim much more than on Xbox, ive been thinking about actually playing it again - Watching ppls nice screenshots make one wanna go into game again *grin*

Did SRWE break before you rolled back from Patch 6?
