its easy for me to make unique and beautiful female trevelyans, but i could never make lavellans to my likings. Honest i have seen more beautiful hf quzzies than ef quzzies because lots of elves look the same to me

That's my complaint of Trevelyans. 95% of the time they look like bland clones even on PC.

I like svelte. I'm not aiming to make something looking like a potato.  :D

Maybe, but because nearly everybody goes for the conventionally attractive look (+ white), characters do look A LOT a like after a while, particularly Trevelyans. And I would argue 100% exterior beauty does not make an interesting character.

You may argue that. It is in your right to be of that opinion. But I would have to say that since I am the only one who will play with my characters, only my preferences concerning them matter. And I find my characters to be much more interesting if I can stand to look at them for 100+ hours per playthrough. Also, making an average or even ugly character doesn't guarantee said character being interesting either. As with beauty, it's all in the eyes of the beholder.

yeah at theend of the day you'll need to be looking at the hero you've created for anything up to 200 hours so you do need to be relatively happy with the way they look when you create them. As long as your happy withthe way your characters look that's all that matters. TBH I've been happy with all my creations thus far. I'm also looking forward to seeing what I can do with a Qunari when I create one once I'm finished with Hawke.

All I'm pointing out is that there is no objective truth in the matter. Like how people say, "All elves look the same" and leave out "...to me."

I think Trevelyans look the same, both the "potato heads" and the so-called "attractive types," despite what others may say.

However, IMO, I do think the majority of characters in the "Post pics of you inquisitor" thread have become rather homogenous even with mods.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions

One of modders on Nexus created many drop-dead gorgeous and unique looking Trevelyans ( one of Trevelyans is a darked skin beauty and she is one of the hottest quizzies i have seen ) . My CC skills are far from her level but all my humans look different and attractive in my and some others' eyes.

LOL but someone did say ' lots of elves look the same to me ' instead of ' all elves look the same ' right ?

IMO because of people's desires to make "attractive (by Western standards) white female elf," the majority of female "attractive" Lavellans look homogenous, esp the modded ones. 95% of Trevelyans IMO look the same regardless of mods or "attractiveness."

Link to see for myself?

Is the character attractive because of her skills with sliders or is it the mods? Probably 80% of what makes any character good-looking on PC is mods. People who make mods have skills, but anyone can take other people's mods to make a good-looking character. PC gaming allows one to get better camera angles, adjust lighting, longer lashes, better hair, fix this or that. It seems to have very little to do with the DAI CC anymore.

And your point is...? Why in the world would those who make use of mods -not- benefit from having them available to us? Or make use of the Cinematic Tools to take better screenshots. To appease console players who can't? I really don't get your aversion to them. If you don't like them for whatever reason, that's fine. But don't act like those who do are somehow less competent. I can make characters without mods just fine. But I try to improve where Bioware dropped the ball, namely the hair and eyebrow department. And generally spice things up with mods.
In any case, with or without mods, people are proud of the characters they create. And I think you're being really rude to just seemingly dismiss every PC player that uses mods.

Tbh this is all I've been doing improving in the areas where Bioware screwed up which as you said is largely in the hairstyle department. I too have created a fwe attractive ladies without mods as well in fact I think my first Inquisitor Gina Travelyan I felt I hit gold with her as I felt she was very attractive and she wasn't modded in fact I didn't properly start using mods until my 5th playthrough as although I did experiment with them on my 4th it was more to try to figure out how to get the mods to work more than anything. So it's really only in my last 2 playthrough's or so that I've been properly using the mods. Although I have to admit I don't plan on using any mods on my Qunari but that's because I want to see the vanilla options first and see what I can make out of them. I may add mods to Qunari later on but I'm just not planning to to start with.

Holy crap edit because my memory lapse is so real. I posted Sharis already in this thread. I intended her to be as elfy but not elfy as possible. Kind of between like Solas. Posting again because I forget like that.

And she animates pretty nicely too. Minus the slightly cross-eyed look...because her nose bridge is so tall haha.

Here's my Ayla, no mods, vanilla. Took a while to get her looking feminine and young but suited to the American voice.

I modded hair so far. So tempting to do eyebrows too since there's a lot to want.

I just saw, that I never posted Lyana here - my favorite character ever (well apart from my pen & paper characters of course, they are always the best ;) )

kalasaurus: As I already wrote in the inquisitor thread: I really like your elf. I made an indian looking elf myself, but I accidently erased the save (I wanted to erase another save and slipped). But I have a screenshot of her - she is not nearly as cute as yours, but I loved her:

So I may have bought Inquisition for a second time, specifically so I can play on my windows bootcamp with modded eyebrows. Is that too far? Perhaps the lack of eyebrows and hair is a marketing ploy by Bioware aimed at frustrating console owners into buying the game twice?

I've only got two elf ladies so far, but one's originally a PS3 creation and sadly I don't have any good pictures of her.  So, here's my pretty new PS4 girl, Ellana the Heartbreaker. :)

I don't use mods (I'm on a ps4) but I did make her tattoos as pale as possible and then went into the editor and made them "flesh colored".  But I'm playing her as a bit of an outcast who has never fit in with her clan so I wanted her to not have them on purpose.
