Well it's official, I'm jealous. Okay, I can do this..back to the CC it is for me.

I decided to make the arbitrary and obligatory redhead with freckles out of my group of characters an Elf for DAI. I made her a rogue at first but then decided to change her to a mage, and damned if I can get her looking like she did in this picture. I really wish I would have took pictures of her in the CC, but regardless I'm proud of the way she turned out in her first iteration.

I love playing as an elf, but those female body models are horrible... They would be better off having Seras body model because they kinda look like starvation victims, but considering that they are slaves...  

 

Oddly I find  it much easier to make a good elf female than a human...

DAI elves have the same body models they used in DA2. Sera's body is the human model, oddly enough.

Unfortunately, I did not save her sliders. But since you asked, I did my best to recreate my baby Inera in the CC, and saved those sliders for you. Merry Christmas.

 

A few tips for using these sliders:

• Start with head preset #4. I know it's hideous, but it's the preset I started from, so you won't have to mess with the sliders as much. (Once you adjust the jaw size and get rid of the makeup, it'll look much better, don't worry)
• The face shape is #2, the complexion is #6, and the eyebrow position is at #3. (Since I know it can be hard to tell where those sliders are exactly)
• I change the ear size/position so they don't clip with the hair. (So change them accordingly if you use a different hair type)
• I also change the forehead so that it lines up correctly with the hair line. (So make sure it fits with whatever hair you chose)

She looks really close to the original, but if you want to make her look more like Inera, make the "nose size" a bit smaller, then maybe adjust the "nostril size" so that they're not too small after shifting down the nose size.

She looks awesome. We did sort of the same thing with the strong jaw and placing the mouth high to emphasize the chin. I really love the elf faces in Inquisition.

Thanks! And yes, that's what I was going for. I was trying to give her a "longer" type of face, since my first elf had a heart-shaped face. Mareva reminds me of the elf tarot card, very nice.

Thanks! I did sort of base her off the card. Especially the jaw and the hair colour. I love the female elf's tarot card art, and I wanted to make my first Lavellan resemble it. If we get black emporium-ish DLC then I want to try making her nose a bit elfier and widen the bridge.

Yeah. I found that most of the presets tended towards heart-shaped. I used preset #1 but I didn't like how chinless that one was, so I did everything I could to make her face longer. I think she ended up rather...triangular. Especially with those ears.

Ah, the elves, with their overly thin bodies and the games lightbulb head model. Funny how Sera has a completely different build than the rest of her kin. Of course she is ugly as sin, but at least she's got some meat on her bones. Anyway, here is my Elf after 20 or so tries and utter frustration with clipping, lighting, etc.

i don't know if there's a way to look at sliders 40 hours into a game but if there is i will show for people. this is the second attempt at ever trying to create a character the first being my main character(mail warrior).

i usually just change eyes and hair colour.

 

also i don't know how to use the spoiler tag thing to take up less room. as i haven't been on this forum since mass effect 3 was out to rage about it lol.
