Horses are all well and good, but where is my motorbike?

Sidecar for Varric optional, but recommended.

What they forgot that I would have liked is exotic weapons. I did like my ranger from Neverwinter Nights being able to wield a greatsword(I don't remember if it was exotic but why isn't there more customisation like that in Dragon Age?)

Exotic weapons from Baldur's Gate and Neverwinter Nights please.

Nah the monk wasn't forgotten it's just coming in a dlc. But it's really a spec in the new "unarmed civilian" class. The class itself has talents like "get sliced in the back like that woman in the dao intro" and "hide, but not for very long because they find you." The first spec "mostly passive monk," has the "defend yourself against bandits but tougher enemies will still rape you" ability. The second spec "painter" has "paint a lovely painting of some guy right before he kills you and splatters your blood all over the painting." And the third spec "completely passive monk" has the "refuse to fight your enemy and be cut down like the weakling you are" ability.

I've never played WoW. Are the pandas decorative or martial?

Martial.  The whole expansion was steeped in Asian themed culture.  Monks were introduced as a class along with the race.

The female model has boobs.   WoW has minotaurs with boobs, werewolves with boobs and now, pandas with boobs.

There's certainly room for monks in the game, from a gameplay point of view. Lore-wise? Eh.

There's also plenty of room for Rangers, Clerics, Psions, Warlocks, Barbarians and Bards, from a gameplay point of view.

I like that there's not an abundance of classes, even though I'd like better specialisations. Very much preferred the specs in DA2, and DA:O especially.

This is not Diablo 3... No monk in DA...

Why not a Mabari ... ?

We miss a Mabari in teamates... But why not creating a Mabari class (a herald of Andraste Wardog)

I wonder why in medieval setting like DA, doesn't have spear warrior class.

As for monk, IMO it really doesn't fit with the chantry.

Unarmed combat would be great! But I'm still annoyed about not getting my Shapeshifter class from DA:O. People are complaining about not getting Blood Magic, but I want to turn into bear and rip my enemies to shreds! I'm re-playing Jade Empire at the moment and transforming into a Demon to crush my opponents still feels epic. I was really looking forward to something similar for DA:I, since Bioware has the new engine and all. But no...Bioware why did you have to crush my dreams?

Yes, Bioware, please be like every other JRPG & FF game and give use a chcharacter who uses only fists and punches bullets out of the air....and does more dmg than any other character while doing it.

The only way I could see this "Monk" type character is as Specialisation for mages. Just think about the Avatar animated series. That could really work I think. But then again I think I just want another Jade Empire. I really liked that game and the universe.
