Let me know, do you play on a console or PC?

So many people are complaining about the game, and it would seem to be nearly 100% PC users doing all the b**ching.

So, are you PC or console (which one), and do you like, love, dislike, or hate this game?

I will start it off.

I'm on the PS4, and love the game.

PC and the game just isn't fun. (Reasons in other threads.)

I play on PC and I love the game. Granted, I did buy an Xbone controller specifically to play games like this (that don't control well with a mouse and keyboard) and after an hour of using the M&K controls, I switched over to the Xbone controller and haven't gone back. If an optional crappy control scheme is all I have to deal with, I can live with that. Obviously there are bugs and little oddities here and there, but nothing big enough to keep me from stating that, again, I love the game.

PC, I like the game, no more, no less.  It needs a lot of small bug fixing and serious attentions to controls.  "Hold" should mean "hold".  Not "wait 3 second and move forward as close as possible to the dragon with my bow"

PC, but i tend to use kb+m on Nightmare just because kb+m offers more finesse.

That said, I've played it with controller as well and find it to be significantly more enjoyable.

Still love the game, despite this.

Most of the issues are equal opportunity aggravation! The only issues strictly PC are video drivers, mouse, keyboard and controller reliability/functionality.

I don't like the way you describe us with the b**ching, but yes I agree that from reading the threads (and everything else from other sites) it seems PC users dislike the game the most.

I can only speak for myself, but right now I'm disliking the game because I wanted controls, UI, tactics and the like to be more PC friendly, more deep and 'advanced'.

That is not to bash console players, it's just that when I game on my PC I play games that I find to be more deep and complex (like RPGs and strategy games), and when I game on my XBOX it's more "casual" with less different options (car games, shooters)

Judging from the tactics screen Inquisition doesn't have many options, and the same can be said for many other parts of the game, so Dragon Age looks like it plays more as a console game than a PC game - and I prefer RPG's to be deep and complex on PC.

Playing on PC.

Initially used KB + Mouse

Dissatisfied

Complained

Plugged in a PS4 controller

Now enjoying being able to walk everywhere

Then realizing...

The 8 Skill slot limit is because of controller design limitation more instead of game/tactical design!

Bites Controller

Eats controller

Designed a new controller

Hamster ate the blueprint

Dragon chewed half of my brain

Crafting skill -100

Now just waiting for Bioware to patch for original PC user base

But then again at least while waiting I'm not stuck with generally slightly inferior graphics and modding potential.

Would I still play my PS4? Yes of course for those Sony exclusive titles.... just like how I played my PS3 still playing it and still worth it.

Some games designed primarily console naturally feels right for console users while still retaining "capability" to be played in PC.. un-optimized experience nonetheless THUS more complaints.

While games designed for PC won't generally fit at all for console users due to the customization, modular and complex key bindings etc. Thus never actually gets released for Consoles.... thus ZERO complain.

SO it all makes sense why I am(and should) still feel happy playing on PC despite this controlling issue SETBACK (you reading this Bioware?). You know for example: I still have plenty of options to play other games while waiting for patch etc... and... of course also because I can put forth my opinion and feedback to forums ran by PC servers and type them out freely using KB + Mouse click =D

PC has more control options. For easy game play. It is how I have played every one.

Controls are horrible.
Combat is tedious.
Companion AI is hopeless.
Unhappy customer.

I play both, and although I prefer PC over console with video games (Modding specifically), I do enjoy playing on my Console time to time.  I enjoy the ease of function the Ps4 has with social system in place.  I can invite to party with ease and check any and everything without any pain whatsoever.  It's fun interracting with both at the same time as well.

Each has their own place in my heart and always will.

PC User

Controls are fine for me. using KB + M but remaped some skills. I changed Q and E, to A and D and changed skills in 6 7 8 to X C V and vola!  I have no issues.

Apart from only 8 skill slot limitation and only 1 specialization limitation and crappy armor and hair style limitations. I have no problem with the game. almost 130+hrs of gameplay.

Overall Im kinda satisfied, but I need somethings fixed like more skill slots etc.,

Played first on PS4 because I was worried about UI for PC not being optimal for controller (based on DAO experience - though I knew this game would have basic support, unlike DAO - and some comments they made about it being different). Just bought a PC edition too because there are some bug fixes that work better there and modding seems to be possible (small mods) in the future - also to play DAMP with some friends who play on PC (though most of my friends who I play with are on PS4).

I love the game. It's the DA game I always wanted.

Can it be better? Sure. I can think of improvements, I can see spots where they clearly couldn't put in everything they wanted, but generally, I love it. I keep replaying it. I have gone through 3 times now, still enjoying it. Love the flexibility, the freedom, and the companions. Love so many small touches too, like the Bard songs.

I play with a controller setup, PC or PS4, and one of my big complaints about DAO is the lack of controller support on PC, though, so Keyboard controls are a non-issue for me (not saying I don't want people to have the controls they want; believe me, I feel your pain, since I was in an even worse place for DAO on PC, trying to play it with KB or crap controller mods and hating it - so many good PC mods for the game, but no great way to play with my chosen input).

Normally with a keyboard and mouse (remapped keys and with mouse macros), but I also have a 360 controller for when I feel like leaning back and propping my feet up on a stool. Let me just say that I've never felt comfortable using a controller, so I don't really understand when people whine about the standard/remapped PC controls being "awkward"...what I find more awkward is the fact that I have to use my right thumb to move the camera around.

Xbone. I have about 200 hours clocked in and I haven't encountered any major gameplay bugs or glitches. DAI is the best DA game so far.

PC user. My issues have been well documented elsewhere.  To sum it up, I think that to get the most out of any RPG, you need to have it optimized for a computer.  A game optimized for a console will never be able to match everything a CRPG can do.  So having a game that was obviously ported from a console to the PC, means that PC players are figuratively playing with one hand behind our backs, to make our systems equal to the console.

PS4 and think the controller is fun and easy. Having only 8 skill slots is cool once I got over freaking out. Those are easier to remember anyway. Love the game, all of it, though I don't expect games to be 100%, so when I see the ken doll hair I just get on with it

PC. I dislike the way they treated PC Controls (seems like just ported from console and it feels like great disrespect for PC version, not to mention lame usability if you wanna play with mouse/keyboard). Nevertheless, I enjoy the game very much.
