PC and completely love the game. The mouse control is sometimes tricky (I hate controllers and no, I won't buy one) but I can manage. No other complaints. Amazing game. Can't stop playing. ![]()
Let me know, do you play on a console or PC?

It's not b*itching. Some people have broken game, PC players and PS3 and XBOX360 players. You are lucky with your PS4, it has least amount of problems but DAI is still close to unplayable on PC and old gen.

I play this game on a PC. Tried initially to play with mouse and keyboard, but it was simply hopeless. Disaster, if you ask me. Considered getting a refund, but opted to give it a try again with a gamepad, which makes things considerably better.
Unfortunately the game is still very buggy. The tactical camera is a nightmare and only leads to frustration when you either end up behind branches, above a sealing that you can't see through or randomly transfered far away from the battle. I seriously consider putting the game on hold for half a year to allow for bug fixes to come in and deal with a lot of the current problems.
Having loved Baldur's Gate II when it came out, I can't say I have the same emotions with this game.

So many people are complaining about the game, and it would seem to be nearly 100% PC users doing all the b**ching.
So, are you PC or console (which one), and do you like, love, dislike, or hate this game?
I will start it off.
I'm on the PS4, and love the game.
PC.
We are "bitching", for your information, because we did not get the PC version of the game we were promised.
What if your PS4 version of the game was only playable with a Mouse and Keyboard? I am sure you would be bitching too!

PC, K+M. Find the controls passable after a few changes (jump to Q, pause to space, now I can be a happy bunny mage without breaking my fingers).
Actually enjoying the ****** out of this game about 20 hours in. Yeah there are some bad parts, but overall the criticism is a bit out of proportion.

PC.
I'm disliking the controller-centric controls. There are more problems with it that can be fixed with a few simple key bindings. The menu system, for instance, is convinced I'm using a controller. I can live with the clucky action based combat, I play on Normal so I rarely have to look at the consolised tactical view.
I do like the game itself despite the aggravating controls.

PC.
This will be my first post listing out the things I ... well, don't exactly 'hate', but really, really dislike and am aggravated/irritated by. Those things include:
The abominable tac cam. (Okay, I actually DO hate that one.) The loss of truly customizable tactics and the terrible base companion AI. The lack of auto-attack. The lack of 'walk' instead of 'run always'. The inability to remap controls to what I'd like (mouse buttons, keys+modifiers such as ALT+1). The lack of decent hair instead of half of them being various forms of male pattern baldness and buzz cuts. The restriction to 8 available skills at once. The UI screens that are obviously intended for consoles. The fact that ALL THE TEXT IS IN ALL CAPS ALL THE TIME AND IS UNPLEASANT TO READ FOR VERY LONG. My character having (in cutscenes) severe osteoporosis and oftentimes extremely obvious masculine skeletal animations even when she's a mere twig of an elf. Research items being in 'one click to sell all' valuables instead of having their own tab.
Given all that (and more that I didn't list!), I do still enjoy the game very much. I am currently hopeful though that at least some of this will be tweaked in patches.

Most ppl on these forums are PC gamers so obviously you see them complaining the most and not w/o reason when one of their favorite series is being dumbed down by inferior platform design.

I play the game on my PC and I absolutely love the game! It's one of the most enjoyable RPG's I've played in a long time. As for the controls, looting feels a bit clunky but other than that I don't have an issue doing what I need to do. I've played a variety of MMO's over the years so I'm pretty used to adapting to various control systems.

PC.
Likes: Improved graphics, use controller option, story line, larger exploration areas.
Dislikes: "dumbed down", inconsistent combat camera, inconsistent tactical commands, "snail" speed in combat, "auto engage" before
combat.....again, "snail" speed is engaged even if you avoid combat, confusing/whacky crafting uses/implementations, exaggerated level-ups (level points, power points, inquisition points.....oh my! Jeez.).
Those are my major likes/dislikes. Normally, I like to immediately replay games to get as much out of them while it's fresh in my mind, but sad to say, I think I got the most out of it in one play through, and frankly, I'm already bored of it. I'll play it again for sure, it's I gotta get really motivated before I touch it again.
On a related note: Origins, in it's marketing campaign for the game, stated how "critics" over whelming love this game....."Best" was the word they used. So, does anyone know who these professional critics are, and what makes their opinions more marketable than any of us consumers??
Oh yeah, one more thing......a storage chest would be great!!!!

What are the 360 issues? Were they fixed with the patch? My friend just got if for 360 and said the only last-gen issue she has are less NPCs sometimes (barely) and ugliness, compared to my PC (runs fine on my rig, but I know it depends on specs and what card you have etc,) and PS4 versions.
PC.
We are "bitching", for your information, because we did not get the PC version of the game we were promised.
What if your PS4 version of the game was only playable with a Mouse and Keyboard? I am sure you would be bitching too!
First of all, it LETS you play it with a Mouse and Keyboard so "only playable" doesn't equate. I'm a controller player, and DAO doesn't even allow me to play with a controller on PC yet half the time, people respond to that with, "Why would you want to? It's dumb to play with a controller." Do you also support that being a bad decision? Does it fill you with as much outrage - really it should be more because that's truly unplayable - as not having the KB controls you want?
I hope you get a controls fix, because I understand your frustration, but don't act like there isn't an entitlement sense in some of these things. If things are optimized for the controller, you get a very niche group of people acting like they are the more important audience than people like me, who prefer the controller, or people who only own consoles. Maybe they are. They were with DA:O when BioWare was not known for cross-platform games, but maybe times have changed. (I do agree they should not over-promise, though. But that's why they've said they're going to fix it.) I didn't have a problem with DAO optimixing for KB (I have a little bit of a problem for not being able to play with all the mods I like in the way I like - I much preferred it on 360 where I could play with controller, but I have it on PC too with all these great mods and very little playtime on Steam.) Acting like there's something wrong with optimizing for a different control scheme than the one you like but being totally okay when they do the opposite isn't what controller players do - it's what some KB players have done for a long time, ignoring other players both on consoles and who prefer controller on PC.
Now, there are many people that just don't care. They will play with both inputs. Or they favor one but don't mind the other. Most people aren't bitching about this - it's a small population on the BSN and it is, to some degree, understandable because they perhaps oversold the KB controls - so if the issue is the oversell, instead of the design decision, fair enough. But people are playing with the KB controls, so it isn't "unplayable." It's better, according to many people, with a controller. Did you have a problem when DAO was better, according to many people, and more designed for a KB?
Note: Now, I'm not saying "Don't be disappointed." I'm just saying maybe have some perspective and that how you responded fits the notion of entitlement some PC/KB players have shown that has left others unimpressed with their plight.
