OMGWTFBBQSAUCE

Will someone please explain this blasphemy to me?! WHY CAN I NOT HAVE ACTUAL BLACK HAIR?!!? The closest thing is just a very dark grey.... wut.

Also, what the hell is with all the shine? Looks like crusty melted wax, not hair.

Oh, and another thing, why the HELL do all of the character creation tarot cards for females have long, gorgeous, luxuriant hair, yet we're only allowed to actually give our characters short hair? GOD DAMN YOU!!! I HAATE YOU!!!!

On that note, why do you people even make "concept art" when you don't even try to make characters that actually resemble it? You make a gorgeous female qunari art, then in the actual game make it so they can only look like stereotypical butch biker chicks.

I despise you right now. You suck.

The hair that looks blue in the CC is actually black in most lights. The issue is that the DA lighting is screwy.

Your mesh detail is set low?

Isn't there an automatic hotfix under patch 2 that takes care of that now?

No idea, I've played on a mix of high/ultra settings by default since release. Not bothered to tweak anything yet.

This is what happens when you play on low settings. Long hair clips into armor, so it tends to be avoided. Also, 'God damn you, I hate you, and you suck' is way over the top in talking about hair and just in general. That's the best way to have the devs ignore your post entirely.

Beards clip into armors as well but we still have them. So I'm sure a lot of people could live with clipping as long as we have some decent long hair.

The overreaction s why it's funny.

As others have said, try raising the mesh quality to high or ultra. Shouldn't affect performance noticeably. If that's not on option... don't play on old gen systems, I guess. The black that everyone is saying is black is pretty black. It's ok.

That said, I'm not sure what I expected from Bioware hair in 2014. It could certainly be worse. At least everything else is pretty.

There's simply no black hair in DA:I.

The blackest still looks blueish in most lighting conditions.

Very true, and my Qunari's chin constantly clips into his collar but he still has a chin. The male elves arms clip into their body and BW doesn't seem to care, armors clip into body parts, NPCs clip through each other, etc...but for some reason hair has to be held to this golden standard of no clipping ever? Why? :(

At least give us decent updo's, ponytails, and buns like in previous games.

If clipping was the reason we didn't get long hair... I hope they feel really silly about all the clipping that actually made it into the game nevertheless.

I'm a modder in other games. I've come to terms with clipping to the point that it doesn't even bother me. I'd MUCH RATHER have clipping than 10 buzz cut variants and a stupid looking shower cap under my awesome jaunty hats.

(snorts)....hilarious
but I feel you OP, i feel you right in my heart.
...sorry i just got done playing kingdom hearts 2, but really! i don't understand why there is no black hair. i had to go with the dark greenish color and say to myself that the fade effected my inquisitor's hair color xD it is a nice story to tell.

the clipping is'nt anything new though, orgins and da2 had clippings but they did'nt care. they still had long hairs and the dwarfs had such magnificent braided beards
