I'd say they are defiantly starting to head in that direction. They should also focus on finishing GoT and TFTB first before announcing new titles.

Is this some sort of joke?
I mean, the Borderlands one had some sort of story basis to it, but Minecraft has absolutely no lore whatsoever. You may as well make a tetris telltale game.

I've never played any of TellTale's stuff, but it seems like they're stretching themselves a bit thin. Aren't they working on three different series now?

I looked it up (awkward moments from minecon 2013 or something). There were a few awkward things but most of it was actually pretty normal nerd gamer stuff you'd find in any fandom.
I'm not seeing much autism.
