Agree with some of what's posted here, definitely some more background on your character other than the "I love/hate where I grew up" dialogue with Cass.

It seems to me that there should be more racial tension.  It always seems to be hinted at, but never fully realized in the world of Thedas.  I would include interracial romances in this.  It seems fairly likely to me that someone within the Inquisition would have a problem with my Qunari Inquisitor having a romance with Josephine, a human.  Or perhaps that one of the human companions would turn their nose up at the elves.  There's a lot of potential for that.

Oh, and an approval meter for companions.

Someone else said more companion quests/a better general sense of involvement in their lives. I would have also liked agents to play a bigger role, especially those who we captured and later put to work for the Inquisition (Alexius, Florianne, etc.). During the judgments it seems like we're making a big decision but then they just… disappear… Well Alexius gave me a necklace and a sassy letter which was not at all what I was expecting.

Yo mama

j/k, on a serious note, maybe Cullen for m/m since the gay options are terrible.

Lol omg you think you guys have it bad, look at the f/f options...

Jk, we both have it pretty bad.

One thing that I think could have been good is if Val Royaux was a fully explorable capital zone, like the other regions. Maybe section off some of the city due to how many NPCs one would need. In addition to having just more general quests, this region could have had 1 quest for our companions, advisors and agents, yes quests for or from agents that are not war table ones.

Say for instance Ser Barris wants you to strike at the red templars at a certain location, and stays at the templar garrison to plan the stratagey. Cole revisitng the White Spire, Lelianna dealing with intrigue and assassins at the grand cathedral.

Val Royaux could have also been the start of the Orlais Civil war plot line as well, leading us to the exalted plains and the emerald graves. As well as showing how things change from war table and minor decisions. For example, choosing the sucussor in Lydes allows us to meet them here, making fairbanks a noble allows us to meet them here and so on.

Individual helmet toggles. - Viv needs her helmet, and they all need to look like her default.

A storage chest - If we had a tool kit like TES does I'd put one in Skyhold

A trophy room. - Display the named unique weapons, armors.

A taxidermist - yes, we need someone to reconstruct the dragon heads we killed and mount them. Of course they're pretty big, so we'll need a very big room.

A larger backpack - If they're not going to give us a storage chest, I need a larger backpack. Most of my backpack is stuffed with crafting materials. I leave weapons and crap I find behind, and just take the gold. I think I have like 20 slots left.

Hey, I remember the mod I did for Morrowind.... I put a "vendor" in my "house" that I had occupied because I had to do a quest that ended badly with a dead occupant - so I took over the house and had to sneak in through the upstairs every night. This "vendor" I used as a storage unit. She would pay me twice what an item was worth, and sell it back to me when I needed to take it out of storage for half of what it was worth. She would refresh her money every day. Some deal, huh?

Your feeding future modders ideas, if Ser Ruth becomes a companion that is only used to "please" desire demons, then it is entirely your fault.

Okay after my most recent experiences in the game I would like to be able to rename my abilities, because I want to rename Thousand Cuts to "I WIN" since the last four dragons got roflstomped to the ground when I pressed it. :P

True...they only gave us access to the Summer Bazaar a.k.a. Merchant District

I want to know what happens to shale..is she successful in returning her fleshy stuff? she's the only companion (as far as i know) didnt mentioned in the game

I wouldn't mind having a character who isn't the Dalish Inquisitor give a positive side to the Dalish. If you're not playing as a Dalish Inquisitor, the Dalish get kicked metaphorically time and again and are made to look like bad guys or insensitive jerks to each other and to humans as well based entirely on NPC conversations.

EDIT: Also, to romance Scout Harding.

I am actually curous how merrill would react to solas and the elf inquistor and all that goes on with the elves. Also the whole sitiuation with hawke, if he/she romanced merrill.

she'll probably hate you and kill you using blood magic if you chose hawke to stay in the fade >.<

I guess I can get behind it, but I didn't understand why I had to spend few perks that I get to upgrade my backpack/inventory...

Couldn't I just buy them from a merchant like Origins and DA2?

Decent roleplaying sadly somehow it was worse and better than in da 2 at same time.

Why better because it allowed you pick your religious views and views on organizations something we didn't had in da 2 so here they did good job.

Why worse than in da 2? Because pretty much we are forced and limited to playing either straight hero or at worst light anti-hero when in da 2 at worst you could pick darker anti-hero not mention dao variety where you could play anything from straight hero pretty much ending on villain protagonist.

Sadly this game don't leave room for selfish and ruthless pc that cares only for himself as game forces you to care.

Aside from tactics, a chest, and more plot lines tied to the keeps and fortresses you win, Nathaniel Howe.  There were some beautiful places we cleaned out of vermin and did nothing with at all. It was sad, particularly since we know from Skyrim, that the bandits will just move back in anyway (kidding).  I really liked the suggestion that each area have its own individual plot line. That would have been amazing.

Lots of great ideas in this thread, here's a few more to add to the pile:

Bringing Merrill into the picture as an ally/companion would be great, if for no other reason than to give us a blood mage who's not capital-E Evil. Maybe she helps the Inquisitor rescue whoever was left behind in the Fade, and having her discuss the various revelations regarding the ancient elves/Eluvians/elven gods would be awesome.

Also, a proper Necromancer specialization worthy of the name. Most of the spells in the existing specialization are basically just reworked Spirit abilities we've had in every game prior; let's get a proper horde of flesh-eating damned going, shall we?

And, of course, having the Hero of Ferelden return. Leliana looks like she could use a hug.
