look... playing DAI on nightmare is nothing. Try fighting ravager on hard or nightmare with friendly fire on and win; then you'll be considered a badass.

Because as we all know, a single player game is all about the competition with other players. ![]()
The OP had some fun showing off. Ease up a bit.
Ok we need a thread teaching how to op each character

....Showing off something alot of ppl can already do...what's the point? And yes, I take my dragon age games seriously; "hard + friendly fire on".

Other people can do it, but he's the first to post it for those of us who like to see cool things without pouring over spreadsheets, so he deserves kudos just for that.
And if you think it's the combat that defines whether you take Bioware games seriously, I think you've missed the point.

I am all about this idea. ![]()

Okay, I'm glad you find the combat in Dragon Age games fun and challenging. This footage was still taken from a single player game. It's still not a competition. S/he wasn't doing it as any sort of competition or "take that" to other players. No need to take it as such. Try to have some fun, or at least allow others to do so.
Threads that one finds stupid are pretty easy to ignore. I do it every day. ![]()
Only Hard? Why not go Nightmare + Friendly Fire, no healing potions and only take one party member with you! Now that's hardcore, man!
Dwarves doing backflips is too good. Love Varric why won't he let me love him I want my precious chicken nugget rogue.
Well...wow. ![]()
Nice work, OP.

It's great fun to play a dwarven archer with Varric in your party. Backflipping dwarves everywhere!
Artificer focus skill + passive Opportunity Knocks (one of the most powerful passives in the game) + crit build + spamming Leaping Shot.
Without the focus skill, it would have taken longer, but it would still have been pretty awesome: a correctly built Artificer rogue under human control functions pretty much as if he has a permanent Flask of Fire effect when spamming Leaping Shot against a large target.
If you want to try it out, just make Varric focus on crit and go giant-hunting with you in control, and you'll see how it works.
EDIT: It should be noted that a correctly built Arificer gets very low cooldowns against all targets in general, regardless of which ability you use and regardless of whether the human or AI is in control (though human is of course better), so long as your party focuses on crit. And as there are great benefits from focusing on crits for all rogues (Cheap Shot), for all 2H warriors (Flow of Battle), and for all mages that take Flashpoint, it is not a big sacrifice to build the party crit-focused.
I thought that the Highland Ravager was one of the tougher fights, so seeing this epically brief takedown was quite interesting. I wonder if the same build as described for Varrc would work as a ranged bowman equally well?

LOL! Chicken nugget rogue, that's a good one. Thank you for the laugh.

He's certainly the toughest Dragon out of all the other ones you find. I'm fairly certain that you can pull this off on a player made character, probably even better because you can make bows stronger than Bianca or so I've heard.

I can confirm you can make bows stronger than Bianca. In fact, IIRC you can even buy a stronger bow from one of the Skyhold merchants. I gave it to Sera and she's a killer with it, though I've done nothing nearly as impressive as you did with Varric. I'll have to try that with the rogue Inquisitor I'm just starting.

Yeah, I figured as much. I've heard a lot of people say that. I'm more of a Crossbow type of guy, though. It's a shame you can only use bows. I'd go crazy if I could use Bianca on a character I made.
I tried this, and it Glitched me through the floor making the game unplayable. Had to reload, did it about 3 times.

Yeah, that's a known bug with Hail Of Arrows. That happened to me a couple times and I had to reload. I find that the best way to stop that from happening is to auto attack after you land from a Hail Of Arrows attack.
It was minding its' own business you monster!
Varric! That's how!
There's 3 Dragons in that area. Kaltenzahn, Hivernal and Highland Ravager. Two are in those broken down Colosseum like places and Ravager is on a much lower level. SHE is sleeping.
Fixed. Remember all dragons with wings are ladies.
That aside, Varric has been holding back on me. Nice one, OP, I knew Leaping Shot was one of my favorite Archer skills for a reason. It's awesome watching her health bar just disappear.
HOLY *BLEEP* ![]()
Varric, you are da man! Er...da dwarf!
Ok. I'm on my second pt and am upgrading Bianca every chance I get this time.

What is it i don't even....
Not sure if serious....
I can't help it...I keep imagining that's Varric's response when someone asks him "Did you really kill a dragon in 14 seconds?!" ![]()
What is this build, i spend nearly twenty minutes trying to kill Ravager and it decimates me each time. I'm also playing on Nightmare.
