Should i be already afraid of this event? What new bug will it bring us? Falling through textures? Please let it be safe to play

I've been in plenty of games in which it would be extremely useful to be able to sic your Mabari on the Nug. That pig-rabbit is fast.
So how about it Bioware? Limited duration Mabari pet as a special consumable you get for completing the weekend challenge. Put the Mabari summon in the potion slot. You target an enemy and the Mabari rushes over and Overwhelms it and then gnaws on it.
Like Jar of Bees but way cooler.

That is good news. I didn't think we would see a Weekend Event until the new year. I have some time to kill this weekend and this sounds like an ideal way to do it.

Does the axes challenge include greataxes?
Because I don't have any one handed axes, and I am sure that the RNGods will be more than happy to give me an axe if its the one thing I need. 
It would most likely only count for 1hand axe.
Guess I'm breaking out my firm tournament axe and fury of the veil then. Can't wait!!!
Is a chest the only reward? Any idea if its a "special chest" or just a regular large chest?
It's a "commendation chest". "Large chest containing improved loot". Got a couple 17-19 weapons.

I did the staves challenge. But I'm pretty sure it's a 1h axe or it would've stated "greataxe". I have no 1h axes either :/

Crap, going to be away this weekend starting tommorow am. looks like I may have to be real busy this evening playing a lot and hope i can get there.
Did the staves one, got a spirit rune, a lvl 20 rare stave, a tier 2 armor for the assassin and 2 common staves... 3 staves out of 5 items, just rng or something more? I'll definetely try to get the axes challenge to find it out.
