Crap, going to be away this weekend starting tommorow am.  looks like I may have to be real busy this evening playing a lot and hope i can get there.

You only need 100 kills. I did a solo routine run and got 112 kills, no biggie.

Solo'd routine with a Lego, wiped on DC. Had 99 kills in that solo Got one more kill, open my free chest and best loot was a blue 16 sword. Also had a grey lv 4 claymore, acolyte staff, blue5 dagger, and a grey10 bow. Let's hope for better luck with the mages.

Unless you don't have the weapons it's not like it's difficult. At worst it's a free large chest forcusing certain classes for a few matches.

First solo  run to round 3, but I was unable to defeat the end boss that is the door, holy **** the 200% dmg taken hurts, my lego is 18 and almost dying on routine

They promised that eventually they will have unique rewards like weapon schematics.  It's only the first test run guys, it'll get better with the rewards.

From my two chests I got two blue staffs. Level 21 and 23. One has +25 Willpower with a proc of +20 Magic on kill for 10 seconds and the other is +25 Magic with a proc of veilstrike. I'm using the level 21 with willpower on it(it also has 110dmg).

 

I was disappointed at first because I don't use mages often, but I opened a medium chest and got a nice lvl 21 greataxe with 270+ damage on it.

The chests seemed like any normal large chest to me.

102 hours of played in Multiplayer (I have not started Single Player..) --> Best dagger was a level 14 Rare.

 

2 Weekend chests --> Got a level 22 Rare Dagger and a level 18/19 Rare Dagger.

Just for that, I am pleased. Also got a Rare character armor that eluded me (Tier 2 Alchemist) and a level 22 Rare Staff. It was a fairly simple Challenge to complete, and the rewards were more than worth it, if you ask me.

Just do not expect Uniques and you will be content, I believe.

If it makes anyone feel better, I got the longbow of the griffon from my first chest along with a superb fire rune and a master elementalist robe.. scrap in the second one through.

I got a bunch of level 1 crap and potions. That felt very rewarding after slogging through with a tank. Not.

I got a Staff of Dynamo, which i already had, a +5 Belt of Healing, and random crap.

 

If i didn't already have that staff i'd be happy, but as is, it reinforces the idea that they should reroll duplicates - i've also got 2x Sunderings, 2x Axe of the Dragon Hunters, 2x Dwarven Waraxe and now 2x Staff of the Dynamo;  and it feels like  waste of rare or unique roll.

After all doesn't "unique" mean "one of a kind"...

1st Commendation Chest had a bunch of level 1 crap.

 

2nd Commendation Chest had a level 20 purple belt with +200 health.  At least that is useful on everyone, so kinda made up for Chest #1.

I understand making these Commendation Chest providing better "drop rates", but really make this rewarding, they should have given these chests better minimum "drop floors" to make sure the reward is guaranteed to be adequate. The posts of people getting nothing better than Large Chest appropriate fair has me worried... Fingers crossed the RNG gods are not cruel...

Me and a friend completed this in four runs with the new DLC and bug free. I don't see the problem. Easy challenge, just go with a friend you trust that can help you out if one of your weapons are too weak.

 

As for the reward, it was crap. I got Longbow of the Griffon in one of them (fifth time I've gotten this bow) and just some crappy rares in the other one. Honestly, it felt really unrewarding. But at least it's done =)

This is a fine place to start the weekend events.

Something everyone can do (everyone has a staff).

 

The learning to take away from this event is to hold back the keenness to break down every spare weapon into crafting components,

in future I will keep in my inventory:

• one spare best Bow *
• one spare best Staff *
• one spare set of best Daggers
• one spare best 1 handed Axe *
• one spare best 1 handed Sword
• one spare best 1 handed Mace
• one spare best 2 handed Maul
• one spare best 2 handed Great Axe *
• one spare best 2 handed Great Sword

* Excluding where you are running a character with the above weapons as an equipped default.

  In my case, my Legionnaire, Keeper, Reaver and Archer have 4 of those weapons as defaults so I don't need to keep more.

 

Because I can guess that future weeks events will include 

• Bow Mastery
• Daggers Mastery
• Sword Mastery
• Mace Mastery
• Maul Mastery
• Great Axe Mastery
• Great Sword Mastery

This suggests that most events (if not all) will be milestones on the way to an already listed challenge.

 

I'm enjoying the event, I'm nearly on 50 Axe kills and will have done both by the end of the weekend.

Yep, thats it. Pretty awesome now with the poison + 25 ice damage, my lego is unstoppable (like a t-rex with long arms)
