Am I the only one not getting AXE kills with a Great Axe? Does a 1H Axe only count?

Axe kills count only for 1 handed axe.
If you look at the achievements normally, there are separate achievements for mauls, great axes, and great swords.
I'm not sure why people think a great axe suddenly counts as an axe, it's not, and it's been that way since day 1.
The challenge isn't bugged, the players are.

Thanks for pointing out that I am bugged just because I think a greataxe is an axe dumb@ss. You could have just responded with no, it doesn't count. Anyone in their right mind knows a great axe is an axe.

Got a lv 22 rare dagger(AOE though

I agree with your sentiment but at the same time understand the opposite point of view as well.
Saying a, "great axe is an axe" is like saying, "a formula 1 car is a car". While technically true both statements are equally false. Another way to put it is like this: is a hatchet an axe? Some would say a hatchet is simply a small axe. Given that logic a dagger is simply a small sword, so why don't I get sword kill credits when I use a dagger? Or mace kill credits when I use a maul?
Daggers are daggers. Swords are swords. Great swords are great swords. Just like hammers are hammers and mauls are mauls. Or in this case axes are axes and great axes are great axes.

This event was interesting.... out of the two chests i got 5 raider bows and 2 ferelden swords and a crappy staff. I wouldn't mind so much if it weren't for the rubber banding, no keys dropping for like 4 matches in a row, then another 3 in a row.
But on the plus side, for my first weekend playing some chests did produce the elementalist, reaver and assassin.
oh and what the crap is with the bumper car effect when another player comes withing 2 feet of you.
